So which was the airline in Airport 75 which is the one Dantheman asked about. George Kennedy was chief ground engineer Joe Patroni. By Airport 79 wasn’t Joe Patroni the Captain flying the Concorde aircraft?
The other thing I recall about 75 was the chief hostie was called Nancy Prior. Her best line was on the radio to ATC “This is ‘stooardess’ Nancy Prior… There’s nobody left to fly the plane!”
That’s enough to spoil any hosties day!

PS: Just looked back through the thread and answered my own question… It was Columbia

Same with us except it’s the Dispatcher who gives us the final figure. The Cabin Crew would only ever be asked to double check the figures in the event of a discrepancy.

I agree with Shamrock.
The thing on the front (a balloon I think) looks lost. I like the back end, but wouldn’t like to see it as the standard livery.
Somehow expected more from VS.

Yes the engines are green.
The Nigerian flag is Green and White as can be seen in front of the Virgin Nigeria title, and the Nigerians would want Green in the corporate id as they see this as their new national airline. If you look at http://www.virginnigeria.com you will see the uniform is a Green version of the Virgin Atlantic uniform.
Would the aircraft have looked better if the fuselage was Silver as on the VS fleet? And even better in the heat. Perhaps once they start to get their own aircraft this will change.

Great news Martin. Wys and I were only discussing the other day doing a return flight on Alpha 1. Sounds like it might be more interesting than ever.

I hope whatever the problem is it can be overcome and look forward to flying with Alpha 1 when they are up and running.
Good luck Martin.

How can the company responsible for something as beautiful as the 330 produce something so b****y ugly as that?
I still can’t wait to see it get off the ground though!
