Thanks guys.

I’m told that these used to be fitted to the front row of the BRAL/BACX Jetstream 41’s as well.
Perhaps the 340 isn’t that far ahead of its time after all! Only joking Ian.

Can anyone make out the title on the Dan Air 1-11 in the background? I’m sure it doesn’t say Dan Air London.

Sorry MANmad, I didn’t mean to offend, I know BA are big at MAN, it’s just that I happen to have lists of routes from LHR LGW and LCY. I’ll see if I can get a list of MAN routes just for you.
Shamrock, there is talk of EI leaving Oneworld as they want to reposition themselves as single class no-frills loco, and would no longer fit the requirements for membership of the alliance.
ZB, lists are on the way.

Hi ZB,
If you want to PM me an e-mail address I can send you a list of the BA routes (including partner airlines) from the 3 London airports.

Interesting that SN are serving EXACTLY the same ‘cake or carrot’ snacks that BA have been serving on mid-morning and mid-afternoon flights in Economy. They must be using the same Dutch supplier. Personally I thought they were awful.
BA have just changed the sweet option, and are about to change the savoury option, the new ones being a slight improvment.

guys, guys, guys…
Not this one again. I’m getting really bored of every thread ending up with this free food debate. Any chance we could drop it?
Thanks,

Bigjet,
The 737 you saw was G-DOCE, on its way to GLA, complete with yours truly onboard (sitting at door 1L for take-off naturally), having arrived at LHR the day before, nightstopping in EDI, and operating another EDI before my flight.
We will have one 737 at LHR for the foreseeable future, as Wys says covering for a broken ‘bus. The specific aircraft will change from time to time, and will be operated on domestic services only, with LGW flight crew and LHR cabin crew.
On the subject of 321s, an Airbus skipper told me the other day that 3 of the 10 aircraft on order will be going to GB Airways instead, because the 319s that were to go to LGW will not be going after all. Heard anything about that MarkL?
Meanwhile I have my first 321 flight on my roster, an AMS the day the first aircraft goes into service.

Not sure why this has suddenly made the news, it has been on the BA website for about a fortnight now. (Perhaps nothing happening in the world today!) The plan is to cancel flights on routes with enough frequency and capacity to accomodate those already booked on the cancelled flights.
Mark L just about has it right (as always), although I’m not sure about empty 767’s on any route. Every flight I have done for months has been chokka regardless of aircraft type.
There is another problem which is the new computer system at engineering which has been a complete farce and has led to quite a number of aircraft being grounded. And the whole thing has been made worse by endless slot delays at LHR every time it looks like rain.
Also Danairboy, as I have explained on other threads, it is charter airlines that are obliged to operate the flights they have sold. Although scheduled carriers would reasonably be expected to operate all of their flights, they are in fact at liberty to cancel flights at any time without giving reason.

If I remember correctly the Air 2000 slogan was ‘Tomorrows Airline Today’.

Those registrations are the same as on jethros, but on the ba aviation section website they are listed at G-EUXC to L.
Can anyone confirm?
