RE: Airbus, Vietnam Airlines sign contract on sale of A321s; valued at 300 million euro

Is it just me, or does Airbus sell a LOT of aircraft these days??

Or do we just miss the Boeing ones?

I think russian aircraft have much more caracter, both the airliners and the huge freighters.

I think the safety of Russian aircraft are greatly underestimated. The design philosophy was just about the same as with their fighter jets. Uncomplicated, rugged and simple. Not a lot that can go wrong.

The reason they have a bad reputation is just bechause they look shabby and are badly maintaned nowadays.

This is possibly my favourite airliner also! I think it looks even more aggressive than the concorde, and i like the small wings that pop out of the fuselage during landing and take-off.

I’ve tried but that means i have to download them and then upload them directly to the forum right? The firewall here at work doesent permit that.

Here SAS has always been rubbing shoulders with the government and the royals but the new government that got elected a while ago actually have made a deal with Norwegian Air Shuttle to use their no frills routes on short domestic flights, and Sterling No frills between OSL and CPH.

Also they’re planning to buy a plane for the PM, it’ll probably be a business jet of some sort.

I always find myself wondering what cities are below me when there is no screens with maps in the cabin.

I have to say i didnt like the comment by the passenger at the end.

Just bechause a guy has sideburns and beads around his neck, does that make him a terrorist?

I never wear a suit, does that make me more likely to be a terrorist?

Have people forgotten that the hijackers at 11/9th were well dressed?
But they were arabs so i guess they had different features to make prejudiced judgement from..

    Sorry, rant over 🙂

It’s the finals of the European Cup. There will be matches both in Lugano and Milan. If my team make it that is, just have to knock out Belfast first 🙂

I checked out flight prices to Lugano via Zurich but the prices were extortionate. 260 pounds or something with Cross. x(

Yeah but we had to go thru customs anyway. Maybe it parked on a domestic gate, and then they shipped us over to the customs area?

    That’s right, about the aircrash.

The Mirage was hiding over the cloudcover, so people on the ground could’nt see it. Many think the 144 got caught in the Mirages jet thrust. I’ve seen that on discovery now that i think about it, it looks pretty crazy as the 144 is just below the clouds, and all of a sudden it turns down and tries to pull up, bit it falls apart.

    Looks pretty crazy.

    RE: ATC fun

Here’s a story i heard from a friend of mine who works in the cabin for Braathens. Apparently it’s something that was overheard by a Braathens pilot a few years ago.

There was a British Airways and a Lufthansa flight in the vicinity, and it was very turbulent. The Lufthansa captain asked the ATC several times to climb to higher altitude to avoid turbulence. This was declined.

Then the BA flight did the same, and they got the OK first time.

The Lufthansa pilot got upset and asked why they were allowed and not them.

The BA pilot quickly replied “bechause we won the war!”.

Sorry if i offended any Germans 🙂 (I think it says more about the british pilot actually). 🙂
