It has been said before but I will repeat from my view point

If I give to a charity I give because I WANT TO – those who have given to 558 have done so beacuse they want to see her fly. If they wanted to give to Sally B or the Shuttleworth collection as well/instead that is up to them.

It doesn’t make sense to say 558 is taking money from other projects when people have a chioce of where they donate to

    Agreed.

I can only speak for myself but in my case none.

The money I have given to XH558 hasn’t been given to them instead of donating it elsewhere. I don’t start the year with a charity budget to share around the world of historic aviation. I give to the project that I most want to see fly and you know what? In this case it has worked.

Apologies for going slightly (only ever so!) off topic, but what’s the ID of the Spitfire discovered by PPS in the galleries section? It looks like a XIV or an 18, going by the propeller hub in the first image….

    I’m leaning towards MKXIV… maybe RM694?

“Composite”, “Original”, “With provenance”, “Without provenance”, does it really matter.?

From an atomic or even sub-atomic, and therefore fundamental, point of view no object retains the original matter it was comprised of as matter and energy are in constant flux, ever changing and exchanging with the world around them.

I’m starting to believe that the notion of originality is entirely academic.
