Jeremiah Mieses even tried for a Darwin award and failed. Never mind no compensation for him. What a shame.

Blue_2 I hate you! I would give a kidney to get hold of a Warning Star again. I had to make do with an ordinary connie which I bought from evilbay that came in a sealed box minus the MATS decals. Its been sat parked up while I scour the net for a set to complete it!:D
BTW what happened to the tailplane in picture one?

Coming along well there Yorkie(brave man putting the tail wheel on at that stage though, I would be on the floor fighting with the carpet monster if I did mine that early!)

I was only wondering today what had happened to the ‘original’ P40 thread that was embargoed. Is it still in limbo? Can it yet be revived? Or is it still ‘sensitive’? If so, can we ask why??

I doubt it Andy we are but as mushrooms kept in the dark and fed on s**t.

As per the last post but I do have some sympathy with the Range Rover Driver surrounded by a pack of motorcyclists who’s
instinct was to get away with his life and that of his family. If truth were told I would probably done the same as him

I don’t usually bother to vote but did last time as the candidate knocked my door and asked for it. Never saw hide nor hair of the others or their workers. He is TA Reserve as well so that helped. He was elected but is now fighting cancer, His name? Jack Lopresti.

As we are now down memory lane. Who remembers the little cellophane or clear plastic “bullet holes” you could stick on your car windows? As for the Fort Corsair I had a 2000E which had a habit of blowing head gaskets in turn! My best car(and I have had some really nice and today expensive classics through the years) was my first car which was a 1950 Standard Vanguard which was in the family from new and given to me when I passed my test at 17. The freedom it gave me I will never forget

For the youngsters it was identical to this including the colour. It was my job every week to clean the chrome and that grill was as sharp as razor blades especially the little flip up bit it the middle where the starting handle went.
