    This could have been triggered by the Army. I have horrendous nightmares about that time. As for wishing I was dead, now maybe when everything gets to much but not when I was fit as a fiddle. As for killing anyone who was shooting at me believe me I tried but never suceeded. If I had thanks to the British government I would probably end up facing a travesty of justice like Lee Clegg.

    David, I am sorry that so many died BUT those regimes had to be smashed. Rather them than us. The lesson history tells us is to stop the Hitlers of this world becoming to powerful(which the Germans should have done) and that is not by looking at relics but by standing up and being counted. I hope my country does the same be it the EDL,BNP or UAF or Radical Islam. I fear we are to lazy in this country to notice before it could become a possibility. I have fought for this country and on leaving the army I have made myself a bl00dy nuisence since when I have seen things that are wrong. I have made myself unpopular with police, local government and members of parliament and I wish the silent majority would do the same or we will follow down the same road.

    I am British and I love my Country warts and all.

    Sorry for the thread creep and rant!

    Please resume normal service.

    I find that a bit of an closed view, Lancs and Mossies killed innocents as did the axis aircraft. The aircraft should be preserved not just as a memorial but also for their technical history and the industrial history they represent IMO.

    Indeed they did but who started the war, innocents always suffer and will continue to suffer like in Syria today.
    Should we have continued with a policy of appeasement until the Panzers came rolling down Whitehall and the Jews and dissenters were taken away and gassed! Tehnical History? google Walter Heerdt and Zyclon B would you like that preseved as well?

    Last night, I dreamt I ate a giant marshmallow, this morning I woke up and found a pillow missing…….

    I hope it was not a chocolate one or I would advise against eating the topping or the crunchy bits.
