When I first saw Cockeshell Heroes as a kid I noticed the use of a Bedford RL Truck that put me right off. Surely there were enough QL’s about then!

The Cruel Sea however was in my opinion probably the best WW11 film made and I thought Jack Hawkins superb as the Captain of the “Compass Rose”

For reasons to long and involved to go into here I had cause to dial 999 tonight and call the Police. They arrived in 7 minutes flat and were very polite and efficient. They stayed at my neighbours house for about an hour until an Ambulance turned up to deal with a head injury then pulled clear of the house until waved away by Ambulance staff. They also thanked me for calling them and apprased me of the situation. Both Officers were dressed rather like storm troopers and I noticed one was armed. This did not bother me in the least in fact I was rather comforted by this and the professional way they carried out their duties. As you may be aware I am no fan of the Police but praise where it is due.
BTW no one was shot or further injured during this incident.:)

PS It was the latest in a long line of drink related problems at this address

Rick, Don’t they do that buy back every year?.
I would imagine some Techie, could purchase the launcher, and make up his own projectile, these days nothing seems impossible if you are determined enough.
    Jim.
    Lincoln .7

With the minimum of tools you can make a Sten gun. The plans are on google but I am not posting a link.

If any UK member wants to do it I will chat to you again in about five years!

There really is nothing liberal in wanting children and innocent adults not to die prematurely from gunshot wounds.

I have seen more than my fair share of death through shooting and bombings. I have had to live with those images for 40 years now. Its now whats called PTSD. So may I add that the sooner Americans grow up and think not only of those who have died and been bereaved but those who have to deal with the aftermath of these atrocities. Perhaps the voracious members of the NRA should be drafted in to do it. Just perhaps they would look at their weapon(not gun) in a different light.

Kit! I thought you said Kilt! I bought myself a 1/72 Tomahawk and Spitfire Mk1a starter kits from ALDi at $4.99 each.
