Let me make my position quite clear.
1 I served my country in NI inn support of those who needed it and saw and was party to seeing what cowards did(in the name of religion or lining their own pockets) We did not run and hide.
2 Despite the attempts by PIRA and the Shankhill Butchers and the B Specials on the other side we tried our best to maintain the Queens peace.
3 I believe in what my Country stands for and anyone who lives here under our protection deseves the same provided they adhere to the same law, rights and privileges we enjoy and expect no special treatment.
4 Our role on the world stage has diminished and our country can not be expected to take migrants be them illegal or economic and I wish those in “power” would reconise that fact.
Briefly if all our citizens ran away at the start of WW2 where would we be now? In concluding I would like to pay tribute to all those of these Isles that stood firm during both world wars(including Southern Ireland) who fought against tyranny and paid the ultimate price.
I do not forget those of the Empire(now Commonwealth who also came to our aid) but I am writing as an Englishman about the country I love.
I have no truck with those that run and hide. If you love your country you stand and fight for it!
