Seeing that the “C” word has been removed and rightly so I have the following observation over the slang word for a woman’s body. I am sure that the act of 2003 making Female Genital Mutilation a criminal act and of today’s date no one has been convicted for this horrible offence. I wonder if the Shadow Home Secretary will address this issue as it falls within her remit. I also feel that the Government should crack down further on the perpetrators so The Right Honourable Amber Rudd MP come on lets see some action on this!

Perhaps its best left pushed under the carpet for fear of upsetting certain sections of our community?

If Moggy was being unpleasant he might have reminded you of this. Forum Quote Facility Abuse.
Moggy is an acquired taste we have had our ups and downs but I am always interested especially in his one liners:highly_amused:

No Beermat, Just pointing out that there are many and diverse problems in the Honourable House beside the habit(hopefully reduced) of putting their hands in the till or failure to declare earnings.

Wings43 What is, that some of our MP’s have feet of clay? (BTW you don’t have to put the preceding quote in your reply as the mods especially Moggy does not like it)

To be fair, as it crossed the pages boundary it is forgivable in that case 😉 Moggy

Bruce eating to much I agree is a complex issue apart other symptoms are to put it bluntly greed, laziness in preparing a balanced diet, lack of self worth and pure addiction to food to name just a few. Members of Parliament who open there mouths on a variety of issues should put ther own house in order first. Yes this is about one particular person in one party. I would make the same comments over other members of other parties regarding any other issues that don’t sit well with me if they had a similar position of influence. The late Charles Kennedy and his alcoholism, Lord Janner who escaped his day in court by his death. Just to balance the books I will also mention John Profumo not for his affair but for lying to the house about it.

Wings43 I would do the same about a man who was also in the limelight to name one the “alleged” pedophile and fat creature Cyril Smith who I believe would be in the dock in 21st century Britain where we seem to be gradually investigating persons of substance and authority instead of sweeping allegations under the carpet. Oh I nearly forgot one MP Bobby Sands, slimmer of the year 1981.

OK exactly what are her policies then? Does she encourage the policy of children in state schools to eat more healthily and endorse any policy for adults to lose weight and cut the rate of diabetes and associated complaints for another to reduce the burden on the NHS for another? Obesity is one of the greatest drains on the health system in this country

    From Public Health England

In 2007 estimates of the direct NHS costs of treating overweight and obesity, and related morbidity in England were £4.2 billion and estimated to be £6.3 billion in 2015. Modelled projections suggest that indirect costs of obesity could be as much as £27 billion by 2015.

The point is perhaps she should lead by example as a senior member of the shadow cabinet and shed a few stone.

The woman does seem to have an above average BMI or is that also an unacceptable comment?

    It’s not just engines.
A farmer friend from Kent recently visited my rural area and was shocked that farmers/ranchers leave equipment in the fields at night.
He said, if he did anything like that, they’d either steal or strip the tractor or at least drain the petrol.

Its Land Rover Defenders that is the target now
