The whole affair has been disastrously handled by Maude and Cameron. They have created today’s shortages all on their own. The strike doesn’t even need to happen for there to be chaos. As for Maude’s advice about stockpiling – staggering.

I could not agree more Arthur! I suppose it wll keep the Fire Brigade busy when stupid Joe public nips into his garage with a fag on. Got to go now I have to get a box of matches to find a gas leak!

I like a lively discussion and my main reason in contributing on this thread is to gently wind up our friends in skirts. This is now losing its way over the Swastika and has nothing whatever to do with this thread. I do not like #16 at all. I am sure ppp meant this as a joke but I am afraid I am not laughing!
