Howard500; I have edited one of your posts to improve the grammar and spelling. I hope you stay with us; we need new blood on the forum, and in the industry. If you need to, use a spellchecker;there is one built into the forum software, which is easy to use.

May I ask others to be patient with Howard500; he has actually introduced more topics that have got us talking over the Christmas period, than anyone else. He deserves a chance.

Al, I could not agree more with your post. I think the only way we could defend this country from being overrun and defeated would be to go nuclear from the outset. I can’t think who would want to invade us though.

Just taking one item. The Main Battle Tank. I believe most of ours are mothballed now as they are a hangover from a previous centuries thinking. I feel(and coming from an ex soldier) they are dinosaurs and are completely vulnerable to a variety of air and ground launched systems. The days of fighting a tank war has gone and so should the tank.
