Pee Dee I don’t forget 9-11 either but you seem to imply that the Taliban were responsible for that. That was the erronous thinking of the”Chimp” Bush. al Qaeda is a very different animal.

Seeing a few trailers for this was enough to put me off watching. As a comedy actor superb in Open All Hours and Only Fools and Horses. For Drama I did not miss Frost. Why he is doing this I don’t know unless he is skint.

So your saying that people should have to damaged their own aircraft and often historic aircraft by fitting some sort of lock to their aircraft to keep these scum who have no right to enter it out?????
Most military aircraft do not have the facility to lock them, they didn’t need it.

If I walk past your car or house and see the door is unlocked or a window open, does that make them fair game?

The we asked permission but it was not for coming, so we broke in anyway…. The owners had said NO but why the heck respect their wishes….. Are you by any chance Genie?

    .

    In answer to your questions
Damaging military aircraft by fitting locks

No I would expect the MOD Police or Rockapes to provide security.

    My House or car
They are never unlocked and I have a full range of security measures and neither look abandoned unlike the Nimrod.

    Genie
😀 No you will have to look elsewhere for him. I am 66 years old with spinal and leg problems who can walk 20 feet at most without stopping. I don’t own a camera and can’t even upload pics from my phone without help:o

BTW if you look on the thread #4 I did warn people about just such a happening.

Also 28days later has closed the thread saying

“Right in the interest of both forums and everyone else’s sanity I’m locking the thread for now, ya load of Nimrods! “

That is by no means valid reason for breaking into personal property to photograph it.

Who said anything about breaking in? If it was open its fair game to them.

As a footnote to that it is against there rules to break in and it is discouraged, also you will find they carry nothing more than a camera.

If they ar apprehended with so much as a penknife it could be construed by the police as “Going Equiped”.(for burglary)

I am not going to slate http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/index.php at all.
I suggest all members who are interested in this thread take time to look through it. I think we are also missing an opportunity here. Every day they are out and about exploring all over the country and overseas. They are more likely to come across aircraft parts than us and that might just help a restoration project. I know they would not remove anything as it is against all they stand for but a quiet PM or a post not giving the location on the open forum might just mean people could be put in touch with the owner with a view to purchasing it.

I know they have gone now but the Mil Mi26 that was being asked about in another thread today was found by them in 2009.

To any members of 28days later reading this. I read your site on a daily basis and keep up the good work in documenting history as photographs will be all we have left in many cases.

Perhaps the 28Days Later bods who are following this would provide a link to the Carlisle visit to the Vulcan as I can’t seem to find it on your forum any more?

Dr Strangelove, impractical and highly illegal. The Starling is on the “red list” of endangered birds and are protected and must not be killed. Numbers have dropped in the UK by 65% in the last few years.(I wonder who has been reading the RSPB Website?):D I just wish I did not have the majority of the remaining 35% of the sodding things!

I wish them luck. I hope I am wrong but “buy the farm” always comes into my brain when F104s are mentioned.
