And so the Poles should have fought alongside us. If I remember correctly it was a treaty with Poland that brought the UK into the second world war anyway!

I am not taking away anything from the bravery shown in all three armed forces by their fighting men.

kev35 you mentioned him in your last post
A 68-year-old man who was critically injured as he tried he tried to stamp out a fire during riots in west London has died, Scotland Yard has said.

Richard Mannington Bowes suffered head injuries in an attack in Ealing on Monday night and was left in a coma.

Anything else I would want to say is unprintable at the moment!

Going right back to the begining of all this and the alleged reason for the Tottenham riot that spawned the following mayhem. The Police alleged A loaded Bruni BBM blank-firing self-loading (semi-automatic) pistol, illegally converted to fire live ammunition, was reported to have been recovered from the scene of the shooting of Mark Duggen.

If the weapon was drawn, attempted to be drawn or pointed at the Police they had no option but to shoot him (after a warning if there was time to do this).

The media keep having headline saying Duggan did not fire. What in Gods name are the police to do then, let him have a free first shot?

I say alleged so some nitpicker does not pick me up on prejudging the issues!
