RIP Flt Lt Jon Egging and my condolences to his family, friends and all members of the Red Arrows who have thrilled and entertained us through the years(and I hope for many years to come)

I will raise a glass to you tonight and all the members of the Red Arrows, in my opinion the best display team in the world. You make me proud to be British!

can’t stand the sight of them !!

ultimateley they are designed for one use only ( never known them used as a practical can opener )

got it out of my system in the army , never wanted to see another after !!

That sums it up for me perfectly!

    One story from NI

I had just come back from a long, wet cold foot patrol and had just taken my boots off and was enjoying a cup of tea and trying to nod off. Next thing I here is bang, bang, bang. then “f*&king christ sir what the f*&k are you doing!”
I shot up and it was a RGJ 2nd Lt hammering a notice on the wall with the butt of his Browning!

His answer to the Lance Corporal who shouted was “Its alright the safety is on” and continued banging away!

I wonder if he learned that at Sandhurst?

Was it cocked some of you may ask? I couldn’t tell you from where I was standing in the p1ssing rain in my socks.

If the Russians want to make a film it should be about the “Night Witches”
Also the abysmal way they were treated by the Soviet Union during and after what they called The Great Patriotic War!

How many of us here are paid to be professional writers and researchers, and are supposed to deliver quality news items to an audience of millions?

Time for a PFI with the Russians(they still have Siberia don’t they?)

Here is the idea I was thinking of.

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich

If you are not familier with this.

I think a tenner a week should cover it including travel(by cattle truck).

Well what section of the law do I have to comply with to own a Tank or Field Gun? There are plenty for sale and in use privately in the UK.

I would have thought those in the wrong hands would cause utter mayhem.

I am sure if they come with a destroyed breech there are enough clever engineers out there to manufactuer one.

As for criminals, make your own sten!

5 second Google gives you this.
