victor tango. I can answer that. In Bristol we have various community aid groups for various groups Like Somali Community aid and others for Pakistani’s and so on. These organisations are funded by Bristol City Council so that they can get their entitlements housing and services, in extreme cases even sue the Council that provides the funding. The people that work in these centres are extremely switched on. How do I know? Up to four years ago I used to sell photocopiers and had some of these organisations as my customers.

Try the attendance allowance or carers allowance I can’t remember which now it is 32 pages long. I am not stupid but I had help from the CAB filing that one in. How many people do not bother because of age, infirmity or lack of assistance I wonder.
I understand that a majority of claims for YOUR entitlement are refused just to see who comes back. That little nugget was told to me by the CAB.
I had to fight to get the above allowances despite documentary evidence from my Doctor and an Orthopaedic Specialist.
Still if I wan’t surgery on my back its a five year wait(despite them losing my notes and scans for three years) and I also need two new knee replacements and the catch is that they will pay to have them done privately on the NHS to the tune of £20,000 plus but not until my back is done. If I was a suspicious man I would think that as I am coming up to 70 I might die before they have to shell out for this. The couple of hundred pounds a week they pay my wife and I(she also needs a knee replacement) is a better option. Still a Government department would not think like that……….would they?

Well Moggy do not trash Mr Farage’s excuse out of hand. I tend to slow down and look very carefully when overtaking an Eastern European artic on all roads because I find the standard of their driving falls below what I consider acceptable for the size of the vehicle the fact it is a left hooker and many seem to be in a poorer state of repair than their British counterparts.(not that they are a paragon of virtue either) Still if Mr Osborne doubles the price of fuel and road tax to reduce the deficit you might get your fine Motorway back. The Greens? can I have the back seat on your tandem?

I have an agenda. I want to know what UKIP plans to offer people with disabilities. I am also a disabled pensioner who is entitled to and claims certain benefits which are ring fenced by the Tories(so they say) Milliband will probably promise to increase it (with phantom money) and Clegg who cares he is a dead man walking.
Farage like him or not has been misquoted

I quote Bob a few posts ago
once again his words are twisted by the media – his use of the word “corner” has been leapt on to suggest they should be forced to sit a corner, facing the wall, with pointy hat bearing a big “B” (for Breastfeeding), rather than what I suspect he meant, which was in a part of the restaurant which offered some ‘privacy’ to the mother.

A perfectly reasonable request from a Gentleman who suggests respecting a lady’s dignity.

Mountains out of molehills or should that be mammaries? (fun bags to any Sun reader)

Anyone see any flesh? Thought not…

Judging by the look of that lot, thank heaven for small mercy’s.

As a disabled person (although not wheelchair bound ) This would be a more appropriate thing to demonstrate about and I would love to hear Nigel’s plans for us!

I must admit to rather liking the new look Aeroplane monthly although modern civil aircraft do bore me. I would rather the early days of air travel. As for Flypasts cover of a B17 as a tribute to Bomber Command what the blazes were they thinking of.
I buy both publications each month but Aeroplane was the winner to me this month(sorry better put current edition before I confuse myself and wonder if I enjoyed Christmas).

So if its natural to breast feed in public fair enough. Is it also OK for me to pull up a chair to her table and chat to her while she is doing it. I am naturally friendly and curious so I would only ask things like “does she swap sides of does she get one breast smaller than the other or are they self levelling” I genuinely don’t know the answers to these questions and it would seem an ideal person to ask. As for the demonstration outside Claridge’s take a look at the protesters I don’t reckon they could afford a pot of tea and a cake in there between them! BTW is the one bottom right breast feeding a Lop eared Rabbit?

Slight thread drift but still abut FAAM
Humphrey has been banished to DCAE Sultan and seems to be in bad condition. Hopefully its there for restoration but in the light of this thread one wonders

    Wessex HAS.3 (XP142)

    Falklands War History

Humphrey is one of the most famous aircraft of the Falklands Conflict and was the helicopter stationed aboard the destroyer HMS Antrim. Antrim was one of several ships sent to retake the Islands of South Georgia, as part of Operation Paraquat.

On the 21st April Humphrey led two other Wessex HU.5 helicopters onto the Fortuna Glacier to drop Special Forces troops with orders to observe Argentinean positions at Grytviken. The weather was appalling and deteriorated, forcing the troops to request evacuation. Using its radar to guide them through the storm Humphrey led the helicopters back to collect the troops. Blizzard conditions caused the other helicopters to crash as they tried to take off from the glacier. Humphrey made a return trip to rescue all the troops and crew. On the 23rd April Humphrey was back in action, locating and retrieving more Special Forces troops from their disabled boat.

The Argentinean submarine, Santa Fe, was reported in the area. On the 25th April Humphrey was sent out on patrol and spotted the Santa Fe on the surface. Humphrey’s crew attacked with depth charges damaging the submarine. Helicopters from other ships joined the attack with torpedoes and AS.12 missiles, causing Santa Fe to be abandoned.

By May Antrim had joined other ships to assist with the landings on the main Falkland Islands. She was attacked by Argentinian jets that strafed her with their canons. Humphrey was damaged by splinters from the shells, making many holes that are still visible. These holes were patched with tape and Humphrey carried on flying.

Still back to the thread now but one can only wonder who the hell is running the museum!
