Yep time flys Filton closed to air traffic on the 21st December 2012.

Still looks the same as I drive past it most days and think of the ghosts I remember from the last 40 odd years.

Bill this decision by the FAAM stinks (if I said what I am thinking I would melt the effing swear filter)

You said “I really don’t know enough about the aviation world to make that call but I do know that we were all enjoying our excursion into it and we felt we were doing something worthwhile.”

And you were, its the idiot(s) that made this decision that don’t know(or care) enough about the aviation world.

Snafu if offensive name calling was allowed on this forum I would let fly at you. I just hope that if you manage to procreate and have a daughter nothing like that happens to her. Your words “The ability of the human mind to deal out torture and pain from the comfort of its own skull upon it’s fellow man knows no bounds.” Not with the scum that are the object of this thread!
Still the cr@p you managed to work I have fed the troll again

I wonder if the Russians would nick the helicopter carrier Vladivostok. My memory seems to remind me the Israelis did that a few decades ago from the French when they embargoed about half a dozen patrol boats being built for them.

My friends son died aged 10 after being struck by a cricket ball. He took to drink and lost his business and wife. He only said he died playing a game he loved. Most sports are dangerous but that does not stop people playing them. Cricket will go on after the knee jerk reactions to this as it should. I really do not know of what improvements in protection can be made though.

Moggy I should have mentioned Sean Abbot God knows what he is going through at the moment.

    For waco

I think he was depressed after the Rochester by-election results.

He’s now asking that the party’s logo be changed to a condom.

The thinking is that this more accurately reflects the government’s political position:
Condoms allow for inflation, halt production, destroy the next generation, protect a bunch of pricks and gives you a sense of security whilst you are actually being screwed ….

Probably a thousand reasons why not but the Bruntinthorpe shack is a MR3 and 963 is not. Is it possible for both owners to get together and obtain this aircraft WL795 break it for usable parts and sell the rest to the scrapman. The Brunty one will at least get 4 engines out of it. Heresy you may say but I can see 795 ending up with the scrapman anyway unless some one comes forward with a shed load of money. Not everything can be saved but one that will fly and a complete looking museum piece is better than the possible alternative.

I will now duck and prepare for incoming!

Karsharn #2 I tend to agree with you. The only “Battle of Britain” they were in was the film.

So here we go again it was time for renewing my insurance on the soarer.
Admiral who I was with wanted £458 fully comp(which included £68 for no fault accidents in 2011 and 2112 which was settled by the 3rdparties insurance with no involvement by my insurance company at all it was £34 in 2011 for one) stuff that so price comparison sites I found the RAC. That was £198 for the same cover. Go through all the details with them and then they say sorry because you had 2 no fault accidents its now £280. Rang a couple more companies and asked will my policy be loaded because of the above and after much inquiry the answer was yes its standard motor insurance practice.

So 2 accidents to my car which were just reported to my insurance company and which involved no involvement by them and the new company is costing me £106.
Both times the car was parked legally and I was not even in it and the 3rd party put their hands up to it straight away and told their insurers it was their fault and my car was paid to be repaired by them!

I wonder what these bloodsuckers will want next year?

The upside is I will get another bloody meercat eventually!

I am not getting into the contrast issues. I just want to say how thought provoking this tribute is. I hope the decision to remove them is reversed so that many more people can see and understand the loss of life and the futility of this war.
