If it is entitled “Annual Symposium 2014” Yes it is in there, bottom right hand corner of page 51
Sounds fair enough to me.
Nice to see you posting kev.
Digressing slightly if you have a photo licence check the expiry date. I have a paper licence until march next year.
John if you update your photo send them a picture of Victor Meldrew!:D
A bad law in your opinion.I can’t stand one of my neighbours I think its a bad law that denies me the right to put a pickaxe through his head or burn his house down.
Amen Brother Bob!
John Its to save you from your own stupid actions. If you go go through your windscreen and end up bleeding to death do you want to be slung on the verge like road kill or rescued? Your last paragraph can be summed up as “You can’t educate Pork”
charlie Freedom of speech is one thing but when it incites hatred or violence is another. Wokka Bob puts it rather well IMO
Very brave stuff for 1982 and those who took part deserve all praise. Today though a couple of missiles from a RN Submarine would have destroyed the runway completely. How times have changed. Still then a Tomahawk was an axe for Indians!
Nice one Bob!
In 1977 I had a crash at 50MPH into the back of a Volvo Parked in the centre lane of the M4 at night because the driver wanted a kip there was know way I could have seen it he had switched his lights off.(Police words not mine) Both my then wife and I were not wearing seat belts and I was trapped in the car (which was leaking fuel) by my legs. The Police and Ambulance crews finally got me out(no fire brigade the t ossers were on strike)
It was not a legal requirement to wear belts then but if it had been I wonder what injuries we may have avoided.
So just to let you know what injuries we had.
My wife came off best with a broken arm and minor cuts(she went into the footwell.
I ended up with a smashed ankle, broken kneecap, ruptured hands a large cut across my forehead and I sunk my teeth into my lower lip which effectively gave my another mouth, both those scars are still visible today.
Fortunately a car behind that saw the accident had three nurses and a doctor in it on their way back from interviews in Swansea who gave first aid.
So back to your post.
Yes the victim could just be yourself but in my case it was the cost involved to emergency services.the highways agency for replacing two sections of Armco,my wife’s treatment and physiotherapy a week in hospital for me and six lots of surgery on my ankle and overnight stays in hospital for it. I did not mention various trips to my GP to remove windscreen glass that kept surfacing from my face over the next two years.
All for not wearing seat belts. So what is the true cost of all that?
In my opinion Seat belt fines should also have 3 points on the licence as well.
I agree with all the above. I wonder if they will do a road trip from Iraq to Syria next?
As Garry says also there is a fat drug taking football player who is their hero(Maradona “hand of God) for those who don’t remember 1986)
I find that Religion and Politics are subjects where reason goes out of the window. They are best avoided unless you are in the mood for a wind up.
A 15 year old girl of Somali origin from my home city has gone of to join them and was last heard of in Turkey. I wonder what the silly cow will make of it if she gets there? Isis wife or widow and maybe a suicide bomber for the greater glory of the cause.
Police time money and resources are being used to get her back. If she gets to Syria perhaps the USAF will resolve the situation.
After 53 years of displaying tax discs I consigned both of mine to the dustbin shortly after midnight today. I notice in my bimbling about today that I seem to be the only one who has done so.
