When I left my employment in the Civil Service in Whitehall at the age of 20 I was asked to unsign the Official Secrets Act.
Needless to say I never did but what the hell was that all about?

Sharia Law is only good for the first two convictions. I suppose it might deter some from nicking a TV with just stumps though.

What I heard on the news (I can’t remember which one now was) The Pilot could not remember the pin code and something else in the aircraft) The post mortem also said he had traces of “Night Nurse” in his blood stream. I rather got the impression that that article was trying to blame him. Several more in the same vein here is one from one of the Daily comics.

Whatever happened we lost a fine pilot RIP Sean Cunningham.

Being 68 I remember the survivors of the “Great War” as relatively young men (50’s) and the stories they told me.Some funny, most horrific and tragic. Think they all went through it again in WW2 in some guise or another. ARP, Rescue, Home Guard and so the list goes on. They have now passed but we must never forget them and the toll it took on all concerned.
The more the message is hammered home about their sacrifice for us the better and perhaps just perhaps those in power will not be so quick to add to the names on war memorials.

A personal recollection from when I was 7-8. I said to my Granddad “why did they call it the Great War not WW1?” he said to me “Paul after seeing what we saw we never thought anyone would be so stupid to do it all again!”

In loving memory of my Grandfather 1895-1966 Royal Artillery RIP.

Sitting at my keyboard with my feet on a nine stone Japanese Akita. Our road of 35 houses has had two burglaries in a week. I have borrowed him as he dislikes people creeping about at night.

No one washes mine either. I am paranoid about my paintwork,if I even drop a mitt its binned or relegated to the wheels.I have it professionally cleaned and detailed twice a year and it is getting a nice mop and polish next month.(that is because it had been repaired where some old **** had hit it). I would say the car seems to be growing the more I clean it as it takes longer every time.
