OH Todo…let it go…your face has been blackened like cheap soy sauce with a hint of stinking oyester (you dont need your Pakee to explain this to you too). There are no personal insults its just witty repartee…the only one who is resorting to crass stuff is YOU kiddo. But given your age, lack of comprehension of english (see bolded part and please go through 12 pages of repetition and point to where I said its visual inspection that ID defective -31F….I only stated that perhaps the ukeranians/mongolians can smell a defective engine for PLAAF…didnt really tell you how they were found out for IAF..there is a hint in there)

Oh bubba I have had three recalls on my VW (very good point though), NONE of the parts actually failed on my car (actually 2 did’nt…I was “waiting” for 1 to fail..long story your pakee wounld’nt understand it) yet since it was called a “safety recall” they replaced the faulty parts even though it had’nt failed on my car specfically but had failed in a “significant portion” of the batch. So if you ask me, off the three recalls only 1 really had any merit on my car and even that one recall was eagerly awaited (mine was pretty much the last of that model year to go) coz if one failed I could get the BOTH replaced when I went in (dont worry if you dont understand this…it has to do with class action lawsuits and VW guidelines of replacing faulty parts).

This would be a great segway into the -31F failures….but unfortunately over 12 pages your lack of comprehension and your crass retorts (kinda reflective of your drone kith I guess) leads me to think that after space shuttles you might want to dwell on the failure time of I donno…noodle makers??

Lol. What a joke. You really don’t know anything about recalls do you?

You still have not addressed the quality issues properly. You said in effect, things are not broken till they are broken. Tell me that again?

What are you going to say to the pilot’s family when when his plane decides to prematurely break its warranty while he is on a mission?

    Huh? Tell me.

Tell me why do you want to break basic safety procedures practiced in all airforces including the USAF just to satisfy your nationalistic jingo? Tell me.

The real idiot you are, you failed to comprehend, warranty or not, you cannot afford to wait for planes to “break” their warranty.

All you gave in your 12 pages is your personal invective and racial slurs, not to mention outright lying and poor mathematical calculation. All to cover your red faced embarrassment.

Your last BS is about India doing already doiing all the repairs and stuff.

boohoo !!!:( the IAF will lose its prettiest jet ! the bland color schemes on its MKIs are no match for the pretty Su-30Ks..

Didn’t the Su-30K’s change their paint jobs to the same ones as the MKIs?

I did like the older paint job better.

The MKK has air to ground capability, but not air to sea antiship missile capability, unless you plan on attacking ships with the Kh-31P, Kh-29T or Kh-59ME.

The MKK’s air to ground capability is not part of the radar itself but only interfaces with it and resides in a seperate subsytem. The SUV-P provides support for the Kh-59ME, Kab TV and laser guided bombs, Kh-29T/L, Kh-31P.

The MK2 adds an air to sea capability to the radar, because antiship targeting and guidance is different from managing TV and laser guided munitions and requires integration to the radar. It is basically a component upgrade to the MKK, and there is no reason why the MKKs can be upgraded to the MK2 level. To be more precise, the capability resides in the SUV-V subsystem and not in the N001 itself.

In any case, the PLANAF’s real antiship capability resides on the modernized H-6s and the JH-7s that can launch YJ-6X and YJ-8X missiles at long stand off ranges, much longer ranged than any current weapon on the MKK/MK2.

Someone suggested that if the U.S. decides that it must strike Iran, it could, rather than launching a full invasion, attack all along the the length of the Iran-Iraq boarder and after securing say a 100 kilometer deep zone, simply dig in, hold, smash any counter move and dare the mullahs to do anything about it. Coupled with a blockade of the Persian gulf, this might cause a revolution and drive them out of power.

    It might work.

    Sauron

It may also cause a revolution inside Iraq itself, this time by the Shiites. And thus you have the trouble behind your lines, not just ahead of it.

    Guys relax.
The Iranian economy is barely breathing. Massive unemployment and a government run by mullahs who are completely detached from the very youthful population. This level of tension is a Godsend for the Iranian leadership, it helps to redirect attention to the “great Satan” and away from their absolute incompetence and bizarre interpretation of Islam.

On the other side of the world, we have a bunch of neocon chumps who never miss an opportunity to prove that they have learned nothing since Vietnam. Nothing , nada, squat.
$172 Billion spent thus far in Iraq and people are starting to ask questions. For the chumps in the White House, the current level of tensions with regard to Iran is similarly a Godsend.

I don’t know how that would be a godsend to the neocons. The problem is the heavily Iran supported Shiite majority in Iraq. So far they have gone along this “democratic” path (if only to ensure and consoildate mullah power through the voting box).

Iran is doing this because it knows it only takes a spark to ignite the Shiites in Iraq, creating a double front war that would now involve the Shiites and not just the Sunnis. So they got daring.

As for the current Iranian president, I think he is a loon. Worst yet, he’s young, lacks the wisdom, pragmatism, and experience of the older mullahs, and that’s the type that will get you into trouble. He has admitted to having religious visions about his ‘destiny’ and the role he will play for Islam.

I believe that the US invading Iraq is a major mistake but regardless of what the US did, or how it is facing a quagmire in both Iraq and Afghanistan, if there is finally a true and credible nuclear threat in Iran, action is requried. I don’t suggest invading Iran; that will only result in a major quagmire and complicate the situation in Iraq further, not to mention potentially destabilizing Pakistan.

But you can level that nuclear facility completely.

klinok was already evaluated and turned down for talwar, barak is much more compact can be fitted on in place of ak-630 where as klinok launcher alone is so much larger than barak vls module definetly cant be retrofitted onto exsisting vessel. Not to mention FCR and command module for klinok is far bigger as well. Barak is better for anti missile far less reaction time and much lower minimum range.

It is a good point, but are you referring to the Talwar or to the Gorshkov?

I dont find you funny anymore drone…you are getting too crass for my taste but then you are the token “equal equal” mod so I guess Oracle’s AFM will turn a blind eye to this (but might notice your whining about my “racial slurring”)…your pontification about “both countries” have been sunk hook line and sinker…now you want to go off on a Space Shuttle tangent. Seems like you are getting a bit hot under the collar.

    So shoo…..

Seems to me you can’t stick to the argument without resorting to personal insults. I asked you many times to provide straight evidence of your sparing factor…you provide none. Furthermore, you showed such basic ignorance why planes are grounded, about basic QC procedures.

After all, you are the one who said it isn’t defective until it is actually broken.

What kind of an would say that? Well it’s the same who thinks you can preempt engine problems with visual inspection only, never mind how long and how tedious it would take to strip down an engine completely, then comb the parts for tiny cracks.

You know what production batches are? Hmm? Do you ever had a car recall? A car is recalled because it is defective, because parts have not lived up to their specifications, that a significant proportion of that same batch had shown problems. The car is recalled even if your particular car has not shown any problems yet. It is recalled because it will be. Future tense. Comprende Ingles, eh?

that gives pretty nice AAW capability, as for klinok why would IN need it when there is barak. Besides kashtan-m will also fitted on it.

Because Russians like to keep things inhouse. For that reason I don’t see how Barak is better than Klinok, given how the Russians have emphasized SAM development, and for that matter, Klinok is already integrated with Russian control systems.

Thats perhaps some of the dumbest argument I have seen since Oracle’s Twu BVR. You are now comparing the premature failure (hence defect under warrenty) of an AL-31F to the failure of an “O-Ring” or the breaking off on a Foam piece on a space shuttle??? That too without really point the similarities and just point the outcome??

ROFL. The problem with your ass thinking is that when you have an exceptionally high rate of premature failures, that’s a guarantee that most of the engines produced in the same batch are inherently defective and are trouble just waiting to happen. How do you expect to find out when they finally break huh? When the engine is on the air? In the USAF, if a problem happens in one F-16, all the F-16s of the same batch are grounded for inspections.

Show me more of your technical incompetence, later bozo.

Patriot uses TVM. S-300P/F systems do not, they use SAGG. I’m still trying to find an acceptable explanation of the difference for you guys.

I’ve rechecked the data. The 48N6 seeker is still passive not like the PAC-3, and therefore requires illumination from the surface on all phases of flight. On the 51C destroyer, it appears that the radar is on a pedestal, probably rotating. There will be a bliind spot from the front of the ship, unless another radar is installed on the front.

JASDF F-4 artwork based on anime.
Reportedly, after that event, the JASDF REMFs warned the ground crew to not repeat this kind of artwork.

Oh that’s too bad. Nice artwork of the Megamisama over there.

lmao the missile not reading the radar for tvm :p if tombstone cant see it the missile will lose its guidance, both the tracking data from the missile and radar is need in order to guide the missile please read up on tvm before you waste my time…

You are referring to the midcourse phase of flight. Yes, you would need the surface radar for such, but then again the ship can also change its course to cover those angles. The fact is, in TVM, if the radar cannot track the target, the missile will remain on course or can be redirected by command guidance, until the seeker in the missile picks the target up.

    http://www.army-technology.com/projects/patriot/

The Patriot missile is equipped with a track-via-missile (TVM) guidance system. Midcourse correction commands are transmitted to the guidance system from the mobile Engagement Control Centre. The target acquisition system in the missile acquires the target in the terminal phase of flight and transmits the data using the TVM downlink via the ground radar to the Engagement Control Station for final course correction calculations. The course correction commands are transmitted to the missile via the Missile Track Command Uplink. The high explosive 90kg warhead is situated behind the terminal guidance section.

wtf are you talking about gorshkov is modified version of kiev it is longer and heavier. As for kiev wasnt aware of that anyway think the 3rd version was scrapped prolly will research it later on.

Regardless it is still the same class and it is still quite small for a carrier.

And read the articles will you, the Kiev is still in Tianjin. There used to be a website called http://www.kiev-a-c.com trying to look for investors to restore the ship and make it into a theme park.

??? sigh thats what you get for getting ur data from fas.org you do realise it remained fully operational till 95 (even had boiler explosion in 95 iirc), it was manned time to time till 01 but wasnt fully operational due to that.

    Fully operational?

    http://www.stratmag.com/issue2Oct-15/page02.htm

The Gorshkov (original name Baku) has a chequered history. It was built in 1978 but its transfer to the Soviet Navy was delayed by lack of funds, fire and technical problems. When eventually transferred in 1987, it saw little service and has spent more time laid up than at sea. The Gorshkov is a heavy carrier displacing 44,570 tonnes, is 273 metres long, 49 metres wide and has a draft of 10.2 metres. It will have a crew numbering 1,950. The ship is powered by four turbines generating 189,000 hp.

once again if you dont know what you are talking dont reply to it fyi it will have vl-shtil.

That gives you better range but nothing to jump about.
The Klinoks might still be better for anti ASM interception but are you also fitting that?

It is bit early to talk about barak-2 anyway as i already mentioned rif-m has many vunerabilities…

Yes, you are talking about the FOV. That’s the problem of the radar, not the missile. The missile does not need the radar to track as it can do so with its TVM systems. Actually we still know little of the complete radar systems of the 051C.

Get your facts right before you spit out more BS you are making yourself look like a joke, minsk is not in the same class as Baku/Gorshkov. And second of all minsk was sent to the scrapyard it was not much of operational vessel even china couldnt have turn into much of operational vessel even if it desired. Anyway fyi india did scrap kiev (the first in class) so i dont understand what your point is a vessel sent to the scrapyard is good enough to be operational because you say so right. Gorshkov was very much operational carrier, russians were still maintaining that vessel while it laid in shipyard unlike minsk or kuznetsov even if IN hadnt purchased russian were planning to turn it into rotrary wing carrier, either way its stop gap measure till ADS is completed which should be launched in couple years.

You should indeed get your facts straights that the Minsk, Kiev and the Gorshkov all belong to the same class.

    http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/row/rus/1143.htm
    http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/fleet/russian/11434.htm

You scrapped the Kiev? Are you living in a different world? The Kiev is in Tianjin being converted in a theme park and it was bought from the Russians

    http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/200104/19/eng20010419_68082.html

Lol, the Gorshkov was mothballed since 1991. The Russians didn’t think it was worth keeping in service.

ASW got serious holes w/e more statement with little or no credible facts typical crobato.. Layered AAW systems that gorshkov itself has should far better than what any PLAN or IN vessel has so its not push over by

Excuse me. Layered AAW systems? You probably got a bunch of Klinoks or SA-N-9 on the ship, which is essentially point defense AAMs.

anyways. As for battle group IN is procuring 13 surface combatants in the next 4 years thats more than enough to protect Gorshkov dont you think

We have seen so many preannouncements from you guys and not enough follow through, we like to see them on the water first before they can be considered an actuality.

😀 FLANKER designations sound like a foreign language 😀

But at least you understand what I meant right?

My understanding is that KnAAPO is only authorized to do upgrades on the aircraft they made (the single seaters), while IAIA is only authorized to do upgrades on the aircraft they made (the double seaters).

The thing is really, how different is KnAAPO’s upgrade vs. Irkut’s vision of the upgrade. That is one thing I never fully undersood. Both are upgrading the N001, and the firm doing that is actually NIIP. Is there for any reason that the radar on the Su-27UBM be different from the Su-27SKM? What about the rest of the avionics and systems? KnAAPO has their own satellites of suppliers while IAIA has their own satellites of suppliers.

Heh- I’d never thought I’d hear of the Su-30KN again- the upgrade path for the Su-27 (remember the original Su-27UBM?) that lost to the Su-27SM as far as the Russian Air Force was concerned.

Correction, that was the upgrade path for the Su-27UBs, as in double seater. It was Irkut’s scheme and it can’t be done on the single seaters as KnAAPO never bought into that since KnAAPO has its own scheme. A change in leadership positions among the RuAF shifted the favoritism from Irkut to KnAAPO.

For that reason, you cannot “SM”-ize the Su-27UB, as much as you cannot “KN”-ize the Su-27S. In order to upgrade both single and double seaters, the bottomline is you will have to have Su-27SMs simultaneously with Su-27UBMs in the same fleet.
