I like the Air India shot – good background as well.
Some very nice shots there Robert. I like the mist picture and the nighttime one. All quite varied as well.
Very nice shots indeed and a nice change to see something different.
The first I saw of all this was the other day when I returned from abroad and I gather that some people are fed up with it and others are saying it won’t go away and I am intrigued and not a little amazed that something appears to have caused so much trouble. No doubt nobody wants it all opened up again by replying on the forum but could some kind soul please send me a quick PM just giving me in a couple of sentences BOTH sides of whatever the argument is?? As I say I cannot understand what appears to have caused so much trouble.:confused:

Excellent shot, I arrived too late to see it.
I have been to all the Tattoos with the exception of North Weald and 1998 and my opinion was that it was a good show but not a great one.
I agree with Garry, that Olympic scheme is awful. I think it is the design on the tail that does it, the fuselage does not look too bad.
I used to have the odd pint with Arthur Banks at his local in Newbury. A very nice bloke with a lot of interesting stories from his time on Cats.
*ALLIANCE – An excellent report – non-aviation types may go on about how awful airline food is but those pictures look pretty good to me!:D

Thanks Garry, that would certainly fit. I forgot to mention the location. The picture was taken by my Dad at Kano Airport in Northern Nigeria. The C-124 was refuelling on its way to the Congo during the trouble down there in the late 50s or early 60s.

Fantastic shots Si. I would love to go there myself. My youngest daughter took some shots for me when she visited some time back. It is not a location that looks as if it has trouble with clouds and rain on a regular basis!
I have uploaded this picture many moons ago and apologies about the presentation but I am not too good at this. Blowing the image up, the serial seems to be XK697.
I saw a good picture in the Flight Global Archive of a B-36 carrying a B-58
under its belly. I will have to dig through and see if I can find it. The picture gives a good idea of the size of the B-36.
Agree with everyone else – those are outstanding shots.
