I saw the title of the thread and have only just stopped laughing enough to type…

Kill them all. There is an old Roman punishment which would fit, rather than clogging up the prisons. You need a cat, a dog, a hessian sack… and a river. Put it this way… the cat and dog will probably survive…. and the convict wouldn’t drown…

No thats not wrong!:)If you want wrong they could set up a chain of Off Licences called “Amy’s Winehouse” to sell it.

Now I will duck to avoid rightous indignation!!!!:diablo:

Just thought I’d mention it, but there’s one of those in Sunderland…..

No manual reversion on the flying controls. ie. the controls are operated by hydraulics only, and loss of hydraulic systems would result in loss of control.

Permit to fly details here: http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?catid=60&pagetype=65&appid=1&mode=detailnosummary&fullregmark=HHAA

So to hazard an educated guess, a couple of million quids…. and a hangar…. and a couple of years work. Hmm…..

Am I right in assuming that Atlantic Airlines owns the type authority, or is it the Shackleton Association itself?

If so, what would be required for a return to flight (other than millions of pounds) ? Are we talking about new spars or new spar webs? Would the CAA give authorisation? (I know that the CAA wouldn’t let Mr. McHenry fly back from the US, but don’t know the reason) Details please….. 😀

So, to bring this thread back to some form of order…

Are we all agreed that the cause of the whole mess is that a bloke who was alledgedly carrying a loaded illegal firearm was shot by the police for reasons still under investigation by an alledgedly competent body. The police failed to give answers to a peaceful protest, mainly involving his family and friends. Amongst the protesters was a handful of ‘yoofs’ who decided to take the law in to their own hands and started smashing things up. More yobs joined in claiming ‘social and financial poverty’ and co-ordinated a violent gathering by use of their Blackberry ™ phones, (which retail in the hundreds of pounds). More and more yobs chipped in, and burned the country down. The police were too soft/had no equipment/no money/not enough staff/had a useless MP in charge to combat the violence and so it continued for 4 nights. Finally, it rained and everyone went home…. except those who were nicked.

Just for a giggle, go to the job centre website and search for ‘labourer’ within 15 miles of Tottenham. I got over 500 jobs listed….
