What is written on the banners????
I’m sure there would be takers for the Santa Maria’s (Spanish built Perry’s) e.g. Taiwan, but also maybe Pakistan, or other NATO states (Turkey, Portugal, some former east bloc states).

Portugal has no money even to complete the 2nd OPV being built in Viana do Castelo
With the purchase of the 2 type M frigates from the Dutch some years ago we can forget frigate replacements for the next 10-20 years

On June 2010, French defense minister Hervé Morin offered the Foudre (L 9011) to the Argentine Navy during his visit to Buenos Aires. Argentina had already declined the transfer of the Ouragan class in the past and was more interested in seeking French support for a locally built amphibious ship instead.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foudre_class_landing_platform_dockSister ship Sciroco is a good 8 years younger than Foudre (commissioned 1998 versus 1990)…
But since apparently Argentina declined, can’t there be other candidates? Brazil for instance?
