Thanks Moggy, i’ll let the family know about this.
In the meantime, if anyone else would happen to have any records or such relating to the subject, it would be most helpful.

hmmm, let it be today… let it’s test pattern proceed over my work in maidstone, kent… i know it’s an awfully long way from breighton, but i’m having serious ‘bad guy plane’ withdrawel symtoms!!!

Seriously, can’t wait to see this bird. I hope the testing goes without hitch, already had too many delays. And, Davski, if they were to fly it today, lets hope you are given the day off especially.. you deserve it, after all your intrepid reporting! 😉

Yes glad to see he recovered ok. I don’t think he’ll try the second roll on that maneouvre again. Very lucky.

Thanks for sharing your videos LaurentB, it’s great for the those (like myself) who were unable to attend. Looks like it was a great show with huge variety, if a little wet!

It’s great to see the replies on this thread stick entirely to topic. What an incredibly informative read.

Great pictures guys, it’s nice to see them with air under their wings for the first time in ’05. Looking forward to the trio at DX next week. I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing the Lancaster for a couple of years now, it’ll be a real treat.
Well done of course to all the crew who have done a splendid job returning the fleet to the air for another season especially with the unlucky spell of last year.

Incidentally am i correct in thinking that AB910 nosed over at the tail of last years season? How is she progressing, was there much damage?

I wouldn’t bank on BoB being released much before Christmas next year for a number of reasons. They have a lot of work set out and it it will be a new generation in WW2 combat simulation, new engine and all that jazz. We are actually getting the beta BoB Flight Models for the up and coming final patch for Pacific Fighters IL2 series. This has been a long time coming in itself, and maybe a bit longer because unfortunately Oleg Maddox (Lead Designer, Developer and flight sim hero) was involved in a serious car accident last week and has quite serious neck and back injuries.

I have every faith in 1C/Maddox that we’ll get the best combat flight simulator ever made, but as with these things we need to be patient. (Good things come to those who wait!)
As for the ME-163 at Amazon, i would think it is just the company (Amazon) saying ‘we need a picture for this product, ah.. that’ll do’. Don’t see that as a representation of what is to come. If you want to see development updates go to http://www.pacific-fighters.com and hit dev. updates page to see 3d models etc for the simulator, it is gonna be awesome.

Basically, don’t waste time with the middle man (online stores) finding out about the product. Keep up to date by visiting the official site and forums. A good place to find out up to the minute news from Oleg himself is at Oleg’s Ready Room that can be found on the PF site. He will answer your questions when he has time and it is the first place you’ll hear of any developments regarding BoB or PF.

Happy landings chaps, hope this clears a few things up…

Crikey… I should be their spokesman!

    Hmmm, nice pictures Darren!!

A few questions for those with the answers…
    1. Is the new Black spinner accurate on ML407?
    2. Which Tr.IX is going to appear at VE-day DX display?
    3. Who was flying MH434?

    hmmmm… Spitfires… 😉

I heard that the P&O NedLloyd Mk.4a Type 22 freight container is soon to be either painted grey or retired altogether due to government cutbacks. Rumour has it that DX will be the site of the new CrateSpace(TM) museum. Theses two are possibly the first exhibits to be included in the yet to be built artistic superstructure that will stand 300metres high and 10m wide painted purplewith neon underlighting. The Crates will naturally be suspended from the roof of the building to avoid a small community of travelling folk setting up inside them. It’s all very hush hush ofcourse! Go here to see the development page… http://www.cratespace.co.uk/development

Hi guys, just got back from a week in the beautiful Emerald Isle sampling the countryside and the real black stuff 😉 !!

I will be individually replying to the PM’s that people sent me but here is some general news regarding the VBF… Yes, ‘that’ Corsair still requires a pilot, but i have also decided that i just haven’t the time to fly the VBF and the VBF:SovietPair so i am looking for two eager pilots to fill the cockpits of a Yak3 and an La7. I would like to think that the pair will develop in it’s own right and allow for pilot training for the entire VBF team, although two dedicated pilots that conduct the majority of displays would be essential allowing the rest of us to fill in when neccesary.

The website will be updated soon to include more skin files and a new non-VBF feature movie will be available soon, so watch this space!
