The Thomson/FCA take over a little update. Offically they will still oparate as 2 Separate airlines till Summer Season 2009 where they will merge. But THomson now asre selling seats on FCA Flights and vise versa.
I sware i have seen this before. I think that it suits the A320.Like to see it on there 737/A330’S.
Makes sense to get rid of the older 733/735 famliy replacing them with the A320 while they get knew a/c
Why don’t they try operating to New York, Toronto or Orlando like GSM.
Cuase they dont want to be a failure like GSM they want to be a sucess and so far they have unlike GSM
It offically happened last week but the staff have not really been told anything. There was a rumor that they would loose the 757, hope not, she will be gutted.
The parents companys TUI and First Choice Holidays might of megred but FCA/TOM are still going to oparate for the next season as TWO completley different airlines. When it does happen i suspect either the 733/735 famliy will go or it will be the Airbus we will say good bye to. Both Airlines have 757 so i dont think they will be getting rid of them as of yet
I think that they are replacing some of the 752’S with A321
Well he wont be putting up the the rabel when wanting to go anywhere. Just a quick show of pass and by by mr.abramafich
The charter market is in decline so why would Jet2 start charter flights?
Whats wrong with Jet2Holidays using Jet2’s scheduled flights? Virgin, BA, US, EK all do the same.
Not saying that nothing wrong i am saying that they could fill a plane bound for RHO if it was more charter then scheduled
Nice Trip Report. I went on FCA and found that seats 40(abcdef) are actaully quite comfy beacuse there is no one behind so when you are safe to recline to recline as the seat can go b4 touching the wall
Yeah it was a RAF a/c landed after a Dash 8 Fly Be.
Well they you have it. Gulf Air Retired there 767-300 Jet 2 Looking Intrested. So PMN we aint specualting about wether they are going to get them we are speculating what routes they are going to be put on
A330 Jet2 in the same sentance!! Not a chance!!
Firstly them things are in huge demand at the moment.
Even an second hand one would cost an arm and a leg.I think its time to knock this thread on its head and keep the speculation at a reasonable level. Yes the 767 rumour is gaining strength, Jet2 bosses have been at NCL several times of late so something is in the pipeline.
Well they could be just adding routes from NCL
I think the hedge Jet2 have on the price of oil comes to an end in 2007/2008, therefore I think their going to take a hit when they start paying full price, Jet2 therefore needs aircraft which are more efficient, personally I would love A330s in Jet2 colours but because of commonality issues thats never going to happen, i could see them leasing 787s in the future.
In regards to Gulf Air 767-300ERs, would Jet2 change them in anyway – IF they get them, they have 218 economy seats in 2-3-2 (31″-32″) config with 18 business (48″) in 2-2-2 config – would they take out the biz seats and put in more economy seats?
I would also like to see the A330 in the Jet 2 Livery. As regards to Biz etc. I think that Jet2 would have Prem Economy. Like thoose seats would be 36″ and 35″ Wide. 2-2-2 and in Eco it would be something like 32″ and 3-3-3 or 2-4-2
Well the A300 will have to make a stop over if going to Miami Orlando Sanford and the Caribean so nah i think that jet2 shouldnt go there
That mean’s then they will have to train the Cabin Crew/Flight Crew for 3 Different types of A/C which will be both expensive and they will have to have different crew for different A/C. E.G LBA will ba 733 752 MAN will be 733 752 A300 NCL will be 733 and 752 etc etc etc…..
And another reson is because they are a boeing only fleet which mean they wont want to use Airbus for quite a while if ever.(But that is what everyone thought of EZY but they went and bought 150 A319
