Id leave it for the Sky Marshall to deal with…
Seems to be most sensible option…they are trained to deal with situations such as these, so I personally wouldn’t volunteer to overthrow any would-be hijackers…you just have to admit it, if it is your time to die…your time is up, simple as!
Please note, this is my own personal opinion, I do not wish it to influence anyone else’s thinking…but personally, I don’t really want to have to talk about this subject again as it is not a very nice subject to talk about over a forum…
Gentleman,
When I saw this post I was thinking about the Bell 609. Would that work?
http://www.bellagusta.com/air_ba_main.cfm. Here is the web page for the 609.Dan
Nice…like it, but not sure it would be suitable for city locations (i.e london) unless it was used for tall skycrapers that had helipads on the top… 😀
mmmm – you didn’t try shooting through the perspex of the bus stop did you?
No. I was standing in the bus stop, but had clear view of aircraft as they came in… they passed over head as they landed on 9R! 😀
Yeah, suppose so…but does it really make sense to do that? It could backfire in the process, if the viewing public are being hoaxed… 😮
And secondly, imo it is very unlike Channel 4 to put on a show like this isn’t it – its more of an ITV1 show I think, but I imagine that they could have it follow straight on from “I’m not such a celebrity anymore, get me out of here!” 😀 😀

Can anyone that lives near LBA help me…?
Was Jet2 the first low-cost airline to commence operations out of LBA  , and if so when.
Can you also provide brief details of aircraft fleet and routes flown… 😉
Thanks in advance as always…

What I found funny was the ATR flying for 4 hours in cicles over the north sea. sure they knew they where flying in cicles :p and the US navy F14 should they have a MIG not a F14 and CHANNEL 4 NEARLY BLEW IT Did anyone see the helicopter they travelled on at the beginning of last nights programe? It was a British registered chopper they use on Oil rigs.Them people must so thick :p :p
Fokker Fan

Yes, I noticed that as well…however, as it was stressed at the beginning of the programme on the first episode – the people chosen have no avaition/military or space knowledge…
Did anyone notice the tank that was featured, the bus had to wait for it move out of its path…was it a Russian tank? I certainly didn’t think so…but still, its all good fun…I was constantly shouting at my TV last night saying “YOU ARE NOT GOING INTO SPACE – ITS A HOAX!”… :p
And on the comment from Moggy C, why would Channel 4 go to the expense of trying to hoax the people that watch it…?

Yeah, the last one is the best…it just goes to show the 747’s supirority over all things great and small… 😀
No offence intended to the owner of the Cessna, of course…

The shutterspeeds are indeed way to low; I even noticed 1/19 sec!! Another problem could be that your camera is not focussing correctly. In the EXIF’s I noticed that the recorded subject distance was only 10.0 meters!
Just shows how s**t my camera really is…it only cost me $150 (£85-90)!
You have camera movement which is different then slow shutter speed – but can be a result of slow shutter speed. You get the same effect if you use digital or film camera. Your (the camera) moving faster then your subject matter is moving.
I can’t change the shutter speed of my camera, but what you say above maybe my problem, ‘cos I was at the bus stop at the start of 9R and followed the aircraft with my camera as it came into land, and then took the photo…is this a possible problem?
If so, do you suggest I keep the camera in one spot and then capture the image as it passes…?
Wrong type of aircraft…?
Also the fact i don’t think a Bae 146 could go all the way to Russia (my dads words so don’t shoot the messenger!)
I think you will find it was an ATR42-300, not a BAe 146… 😉

Well, Nacton Road international airlort surely!
As I said in my last post…check the General Disscussion thread…you will find that it is being filmed at RAF Bentwaters! 😀
MODS…this thread needs to be closed, as it is pointless having two threads of the same topic, and also it is in my humble opinion that this has nothing to with commerical aviation – or do I stand to be corrected! If so, I apologise.
