I’ve not stayed at the Novotel itself, but I do know that the Renaissance Hotel is quite good for spotting…they even offer a special ‘plane spotter’ break. Check out the link below for more info:

…the company’s first loss since privatisation in 1987.

I think you might want to edit this a bit…its their first loss in the first quater of the financial year, not their first loss since privatisation in 1987…!;):p

I’m wondering why Continental is even involved…

    Me too.

At the end of the day, the guy was selected for a security search; just because he is “a highly respected nuclear scientist and intellectual” and former president of the country doesnt grant him any exemption in my opinion.

Also, why is he complaining now about an incident that happened on 21st Apr…is it not a bit late to do something about it now?

    Hi MarcNY,

    Firstly, welcome to the forums.:)

As for the info you require, it should be pretty easy to find out the charges at various airports by going on the individual airports website…for example, here is a link to the page where you can download a PDF version of London Luton’s charges (not sure if Luton is one of the airports on your list?).

    http://www.london-luton.co.uk/en/content/8/160/operations.html

As for the ones in New York, I am not too sure if they will have their fees and charges so readily available, but why not try calling the information desk or a customer service line for the airports you require information about and ask where you might be able to get it from or ask for a name and number of someone you can contact that might be willing to help you.

Hope this helps and good luck with your diploma.

However, for the film Moon (highly recommended), Shepperton studios did a pretty good re-creation of the lunar surface 😉

Quite right cath, I saw this yesterday evening and thought it was fantastic, if not a bit weird. Kevin Spacey as ‘Gerty’, now that made me laugh…!:D

Definatley a must-see for all those die-hard sci-fi fans out there!

To keep in line with the threads initial topic, I for one second do not believe that the moon landings were faked in anyway, simply because I believe that if the moon landings had not happened for real, why would NASA still exisit today and why would we still have astronauts going into space!?

As for the existence of so called ‘little green men’ and UFO’s, well…to take a quote from one of my old physics teachers when I once asked him about the possibility of life outside of this planet…: “Absolutely it exisits, where I do not know, but wouldn’t it be incredibly selfish of us to think we are the only living things in this universe!”

I must have missed something here because I was under the impression that Virgin Blue and V Australia were not connected to each other, would someone care to enlighten me on this point?:o

I also suspect this could be more of a route-proving excercise than anticipated.

Could they be considering to cut one of the 777’s services and just have the one daily service to DXB using the A380 perhaps?
