Not bothered, as long as I have an aisle seat so I can get out to the toilet!:D
My nearest airport is Heathrow, so not sure there is really any specific route that can be offered that is not already accessible as you can always connect to somewhere via a European hub (i.e CDG with AF, AMS with KL, MXP/FCO with AZ, FRA with LH) if there is not a direct flight serving the destination already.
As a personal thing though, I would love to see something/anything from Kent International Airport (Manston/MSE) as I love that ‘forgotten little’ airport, and I think it actually has quite a bit of potential for some services…I know Flybe are opearating MSE-JER for Summer ’09, and then its just the low-key passenger charter stuff, but it would be great to see a few scheduled services to/from there?!
I didn’t realise it was so badly damaged:
Well now that I have seen a picture of what the aircraft looks like I can now safely say that I agree it was a major incident, and am glad that all those onboard are safe.
Anyone know of any information relating to the cause of the incident?
Does it have to be a fireball with dismembered bodies strewn across the tarmac to float your boat cloud 9?
No, of course not.
For me, it depends on the circumstances that surround the cause of the accident/crash itself; seeing as we dont know what caused it in this instance and will have to wait for the investigation report to come out.
It was merely the fact that the media (Sky News, in this particular case!) stated that the plane “burst into flames”…well to me, “burst into flames” would mean that whole aircraft caught fire and I would of expected to of heard about many more injuries or even the possibility of a loss of life; according to other reports I have heard about it, it was a small fire in Engine 2, unless I am mistaken?
I suppose it does depend on individual people’s interpretation of the media/press reports when it comes to accidents/incidents like these…and we all know what some newspapers are like for reporting ‘minor’ incidents…?
And a fairly standard response by the airline itself…

Not much more you can say I dont think?
Can’t be a lot else happening in the world today as Sky News appears to be reporting it as a major accident…
Dozens Are Hurt In US Air Crash
Dozens of people have been injured, two critically, after a Continental Airlines plane careered off the runway and burst into flames while taking off.
I find a lot of irony in the fact that Cheryl Cole, being from a manufactured girl-band, is a judge on the programme….
I heard a rumour yesterday that Danni Minouge was going to be replaced with…Robbie Williams!:mad::(
Must stress that is just a rumor I heard, not fact!?

Sorry if I am not suppose to do this, but I have decided to put up one of those images that is featured in the FlightGlobal link that threedeltamax provided…simply to help make my point. I will remove it if necessary, MODs please advise?
Anyways, just wanted to say that I think with those types of winglets it looks hideous, vile, disgusting and I sincerely hope that they do not adopt them!:(
It just simply looks like a 737 now.
And why has Airbus decided to use a company that is teamed up with their arch-rivals…can’t they find someone else to do it, or perhaps design their own?

Brilliant shots here Paul! I personally like the Aer Arran shot myself 🙂 Great work 🙂

Also liking the Continental 757 one too.:)

I also may be very badly addicted to music and would require rehab in later stage of my life.
Couldn’t agree with you more on this KabirT, I think that Apple should be made to open up a rehab facility to help cure my addiction to downloading stuff from iTunes!:D
As for my taste in music, I like listening to a wide variety of genres including alternative, dance, electronic, new age, pop, rock and a bit of metal (just not the really heavy stuff!)…not a huge fan of garage, hip-hop, RnB, rap (what do you get if you put a ‘c’ in-front of ‘rap’ is my motto!:D:diablo:).
I also love to listen to songs/music featured in TV adverts, don’t know why, but they always seem to be quite catchy and appealing to me, so I end up having to use YouTube to find out what the song is that is used and then download it from iTunes if it is available!
