This would be your link for booking flights.:)

    http://www.flycheapo.com/flights/inverness/london-gatwick/

Or you could try the airline’s individual websites, in which case you’ll be needing http://www.easyjet.com or http://www.flybe.com!

I havent flown with either carrier so I cant pass proper judgement on them yet, but as they are both low-cost carriers I am sure you can imagine what to expect.

If it were me I would choose to fly with Flybe as you’d get to fly on an E195 (I think?)…but deano will be able to confirm that for you if you really want to know.

Hope you enjoy Inverness, just out of curiosity are you going for ‘business’ or ‘leisure’ reasons?

Hi Steve, hate to burst your bubble, but this pic has been posted in a previous thread, but obviously you might not have been around at the time it was discussed. It got quite a negative response if I remember rightly.:)

Good to see you back on here at last, hope everything is going ok?

    New paint job? 😉

Not much of a change, but granted it is new!

Did they get the kids from the local primary school to colour the line in with blue felt-tip pens? :D:diablo:

Does KLM still send the A330 to LHR?

As far as I am aware, the A330 is only used during the peak of the summer period to provide increased capacity in the morning for those passengers that are using AMS as a connection hub for onward flights, but as new aircraft begin to arrive (KLM are receiving more 737NGs now!), I dont think it will be used on the LHR-AMS route again, but that is not confirmed…thing is you never know what might happen, and to be honest I think it would be more of a surprise on the day you depart if you found out that your travelling on a long-range aircraft on a short-haul route.

Cityhopper have daily flights to LHR with both F50s and F100s. So it’s quite posible E190s would appear on said route.

Cityhopper has pulled its services from LHR in favour of LCY…;)

At the moment it is a toss-up between the ATR-72 and the Q400.

    Q400 gets my vote.:)

Does anyone know which airlines used to fly from Tempelhof at all?

    Nice looking aircraft there.

Is it just ‘Cityhopper’ that have ordered the E190 or has KLM got any orders for their main fleet?

The reason I ask is because I was wondering if we would ever get to see them on the LHR-AMS route by any chance? I suppose not because the 737 is larger in order to accomodate the no. of pax that are simply using AMS as a connection hub to their final destination.

Well face it, its about time we had another British winner of the World Championship – last British winner was some 12 years ago with a certain Mr Damon Hill (legend!) and since then we’ve not really had a decent enough British driver to contend for the title until Lewis came onto the scene.

Ok, those that follow the sport religiously will say what about Jenson Button? Well what about him…he’s not been quite as inspirational as Lewis has he!

Also, seeing as we are talking about British drivers, I think its important to recognise the career of David Coulthard, who leaves the sport after 15 seasons. Yesterday was his last F1 race, so sad that it ended quickly at Turn 2/3 on the first lap…! Well done to you too DC for an exceptional career! I did hear a rumor he might consider being a commentator on TV, which will be fantastic.:)

And to all the F1 fans out there, dont forget that next season the footage moves back to the BBC…now all we need is for Murray Walker to come back, and it will be just like old times!:D

    Have you thought of Madeira?

I had thought of Maderia, not too far away either. If you have any recommendations for things to see/do, besides spotting at the airport, please can you PM me.:)

    I’d suggest Madeira as well.

Depending on budget…parts of the States are nice in the winter too. Aside from the cliche Florida, think about Arizona or Hawaii.

Funnily enough I went to Hawaii in July this year, and as much as I would like to go back, it is far to soon to go back and I only have a week off so I don’t think it would be enough time and its not worth travelling all that way just for a week, but thanks for the suggestion.
