I think it could be genuine because mobile phones emit small microwaves whenever you make or receive calls/texts; and nowadays popcorn is usually made in a microwave, so the combined amount of microwaves emitted when the group of four phones are rung could cause the popcorn to ‘pop’…

Well I am no scientist, but that is my thought, I could be completley wrong though…:o

I know I am probably alone when I say this, judging by some of the comments above, but I really do like it….but maybe that is because I like Jack White/White Stripes and Alicia Keys in their separate musical roles.

Its modern, trendy and isn’t named after the title of the film like most other Bond film scores were back in the day, and is just what the film needs, this is Bond in the 21st century after all!

As for a bit of related humour, I quite like this video:

…after turning right instead of left on parade one day…

Happens to the best of us mate, I used to be in the ATC and have done exactly the same once or twice…or maybe a few more times, cant really give an accurate figure, but I know that you certainly do feel a bit of a plonker as soon as you know you’ve done it!:D

Wouldn’t fly RYR if THEY paid ME! 😡 “Best” is a relative term

    A

Wouldn’t go as strong to say this, but I tend to avoid flying with FR as far as possible (i.e just flew LHR-DUB-LHR on BD, great flights!), but I suppose I would have no option to choose them if they served a route that I needed to fly on an emergency basis…which is very rare at the best of times!:)

Remember, the legacy carriers have been forced to slash their fares in order to compete with the LCC’s that operate on the same/similar routes, so although their fares maybe slightly more expensive (I paid £59rtn for my flights to DUB on BD!) I feel that that extra is well worth it to be honest, and even then I didnt get a choice of seats or any free food whilst onboard!

Ah, so that’s where their filming Celebair then…:D:diablo:

Also, just out of curiosity, are all of Helvetic’s F100’s now painted in the white/red livery, or do they still have some of them in the nice pink colour?

Do you have a Blue card or a Blue Plus card? Only a Blue Plus card will get you free catering.

Unfortunatley I only have a Blue Card, so this will explain why I dont get free food/drink.

As it happened on our way out the flight was downgraded to an A319, so we ended up being seat-changed at the gate into seats that were further forward.

However, our flight home was on A320 and so we were sat at the back, but overall the flights were really good and cabin crew were really friendly. One funny thing was just before we pushed back at DUB, the cabin attendant noticed someone’s phone was ringing, and she asked around saying to turn it off…she then realised the ringing sound was coming from the galley!!!

bmi card holders get free food, but everyone else has to pay.

Yipee! I am a blue card holder so I should be able to get something…shame my friend isnt, as he’ll have to pay if he wants anything…:p!

Only Economy (and higher) can choose where they sit, economy saver or whatever they call it (which is £2 cheaper than economy) doesn’t allow you to.

Thanks for that Northern Git, I am travelling on an economy saver ticket, the lowest that was available on the website…so that explains it! Strange how that is not mentioned on the website that I could see, otherwise I would of considered paying that bit more for a better seat, but as its only an hours flight I am sure I can manage.

You can still request a change by going to check-in although this rather defeats the point of trying to avoid the queues.

    Indeed.:)

Does anyone know if I will get anything to eat/drink onboard or not?

The 120-strong team of runners raced around the northern runway last night, Saturday, September 20, to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, BAA Heathrow’s charity of the year.

One of my work colleauges was part of this 120-strong team…had to complete 6 lengths of the runway, and he completed it in under an hour, so well done to him! Regret now that I didnt sponsered him…:(

Surely if someone suffered a broken neck, they cant have been wearing their seat-belt, which I assume at 30mins prior to landing would have been turned on already for decent?

I think I speak for alot of people when I say this is complete ”crap”

At least give a reason why you think this, you cant just say you think its c**p, let alone speak for anyone else without giving a valid reason/argument against the proposals…?
