…I still say that it should be the responsibility of the event organisers to cover the insurance though. If they want exhibits at their events in order to make them a success they should do what’s required to attract exhibitors IMO.
How do Newark do it for Cockpitfest ?
Do they cover it, or is it down to the attendees ?
.
I will have a look through my JP archive ( bear with me its getting quite extensive) for an in service pic.
Thanks Keith, and while your at it, any chance of XP558 (possibly in a Macaws scheme) also please, as i’m sure the current owner would like to see them……. 😉
.
Thanx CS, already have.
Nearest he came up with was the pic’ below of XN548 at around the same time.
And i’m hoping ‘Stringbag’ will get back to me at some point.

I am assuming that you are aware of its current status at Shawbury?
Yes, but not at Shawbury anymore, now in Devon for some TLC at last…. 😀

The former Maes Artro Anson is now for sale with Spitfire Spares at £17,500 !
Sadly when transported in the eighties from RAE Llanbedr to Harry Pounds yard she had her centre section cut with what appears to be a chainsaw and that work still needs addressing.
Didn’t we discuss this recently….?

Is this the same Anson…?
Is it just me, or did anyone see the erk grinding (yes, grinding !) the side of the Spitfire behind the cockpit in the opening shot of the Spit’s on the lawn ? 😮
Was it some dasterdly cockpit collector at work severing his new acquisition ? 😀
Thanks. There is apparantly another wreck in Malta that came out of the sea, maybe at the Air Museum?
Dave
Thats a Firefly.
.
…..’tis true, I was there today myself. 😀
And Barry fulfils his dream of Mitchell ownership 😀 😀
Probably as close as a ‘Scimatar’ is to a ‘Scimitar’ :dev2:
I wondered that myself. Is ‘Scimatar’ a fan of the Scimitar…?
It’s ok, containers don’t fall off ships 😉
Ha, dont be so sure.
Containers can and do, but ~they~ dont want you to know it happens (bad PR apparently).

Yes Dave, I’ve got it on Video and DVD. Do you want a copy?
Yes i’d like a copy, but another kindly forumite has already offered. I’ll bear it in mind though.
I’m sure there are many others who’d like a copy also, judging by previous threads on copyright v nostaglia !!
However, the holy grail (episodes 2 thro’ 10) of ‘Airline’ is still eagerly sought after. (i have episode 1 already)
Anybody up to the challenge………..??????? :diablo:
