Got mine 😀
Cracking photo of IWS’s Harrier on page 252, but who takes the brickbats for the errors that appear ?
The main contributors or the author ?
.
Maybe a front fuselage would fit in a standard container, shipping cost to the UK, say, £5K.
Would there be any interest in that, I wonder……..?
Why ? Surely you only need to travel as far as Cornwall ?
.

It always has overnighted here in the past so maybe it wasn’t sold on Ebay after all!
Indeed, did you notice the bidding ?
The ‘winner’ did have a feedback rating of minus two 😮

” Slowly getting there. This is the cockpit interior of my Harrier T2/T4.
Yes, I know that the moving map is for a later version, but that’s all I have at present, unless anybody……..????? :D “
Rich,
I can still offer you ‘storage’ near me until you find something more suitable, but the distance from your work (approx 70miles) may preclude it viable as ‘workshop’ facilities.
Cheers…….. 😉
Dave T,
Can you help? Have you got a copy of the series that I could beg, borrow, buy?
VB
I only have episode 1 on disc.
Any good….?
The subject of the work done to uncover the past life of the Fleet Air Arm Corsair has been covered here in the past. Dave Morris, the man responsible, has written a book on the subject (published by Sutton Press) and it is a great read.
It is the sort of restoration that is not done often enough and has yielded a lot of good results. Rumour has it that the Martlet restoration is already doing the same.
Definitely one to get.

Second that, a truly excellent read and very painstaking workmanship involved even down to picking off flakes of paint with a scalpel 😮
Picked mine up (signed to !) on the launch day at the recent FAAM book fair, but should be available widely by now including of course the FAAM shop at £19.99.
Highly recommended reading……. 😀
ooh, ooh my turn……… :diablo:
…. What is the reason for the sale? If it’s one of those whereby the site owners want shut of it, then will the aircraft become one of those which are bought with very good intentions and then funds run out, or will it become a scrapper?….
As it says in Flat 12x2 ‘s link to Thunder & Lightnings site and in the link to the advert itself, the owners (father & son) were both deceased recently in seperate accidents.
It appears to be complete, but decidely tatty now……..
And that’s an interesting covered fuse in the background of No. 4.
Seahawk WV911 in open storage……. 😡
…. On the subject of cockpits, Squadron Leader Hartley had sold XH537 and by the look of it XA903 & XH563 are up for sale too !
Any idea why….?
In particular, why does poor ol’ 903 keep getting moved on ?
.
Dave T – thanks for ending the wild speculation! It is indeed the example you mention.
Sold to the good hands of Darren at Aeropark and a nice contrast to their T.17.
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
.
Maybe its the recently sold PR.7 WH779…?
