    Duxford Saturday 4th August :

    On August 4th 1938, Jeffrey Quill delivered the first Spitfire to 19 Sqn. at Duxford.
    Exactly 80 years on, and the number of airworthy Spitfires based here has risen to 14 !!

    I should have made it more clear. The Ohka fuselage is only just starting the conservation process. Some of the original paint survived previous ‘restoration’ and the final colours will be authentic.
