    Good Analysis

Kervyn – my compliments – very good analysis in such a short time – you must be a big enthusiast :eagerness: like me

I have been informed by AFM in another forum that the misisng country roundels is due to “no aircraft” in those countries

Can you point out what is wrong with the roundels of ; Angola, Seychelles, Monténégro ?

Interesting points … and since my name was mentioned a few times; I’ll try to tell You my 2 cents.

    Deino

I think its a great idea to have a book published on any aircraft esp in Mil aviation – the number of publishers are ever dwindling and we don’t have much on the PAF after Alan Warnes last book

My 2 cents is to – look at Harpia’s format – esp Andi’s book on PLAAF – i think the format of text , pictures and artwork is just perfect or Phil Camp’s Su-30 MKI book available from UK Aviation Book Shop – here again the Dev history , intro into the IAF , technical description , and the pics of the walkaround are just superb

A glossy pictures only book in my opinion will really not sell except to die hard fans – esp with the plethora of pics available on the net

For all those who bought the print copy of the latest AFM sept 2013 (the E-version does not carry the poster ) and drooled over the World air force Roundels poster – its a fantastic treat – with all the roundels in their resplendent glory – thankfully the low viz roundels have been removed

A couple of questions – Is the roundel for Rwanda correct ? it shows a flag wheras what i had earlier was a roundel

The roundels for Somalia and South Sudan(?) seem to be missing and the navy seem roundels are incomplete for most countries

but otherwise well done – even if its taken 13 years for an update 😀

    Good News

Finally after a lot of emails etc when nothing much worked – the power and impact of the social media and Facebook where AFM has a page had its effect.

After numerous appeals and a fantastic 25 years AFM Fighter aircraft poster – AFM is coming out with a roundels of the world poster in the sept 2013 issue after a wait of almost 13 years – hope its worth the wait

In another crazy development – Crecy/Hikoki is releasing John Cochrane’s updated Military Roundels book in 2 volumes – first volume in Oct 2013 – can’t wait http://forum.keypublishing.com/images/icons/icon6.png

Maybe the deal was that India gets the first few off the new Chinese production line?!.

..and the PLAN sell the rest through ASDA and Walmart 🙂

    Excellent site

AFM in 1999 had also released a similar poster – but for some reason this was not thought to be popular and discontinued -also hope it comes back as its long overdue

Air Zone in France published a similar poster a few years back but a bit rare to find

    Mel

My heartfelt sympathies on the challenges you have been facing and the health issues in your family and thanks for clarifying.

indeed its very gratifying to hear that Vol 27 is on the way out – i am also relieved that the news shared by a former member with me on the sale to Crecy is incorrect as my concern was we would not get any new issues then.

it would have been good to post a simple message on your website as there is a lot of speculation on the delays in the new issues and also the delayed payments for some of the contributions to IAPR – but again it only vindicates the endorsement for IAPR in our community – as a former subscriber to WAPJ , WOF and IAPR indeed it has no equal .

Hope no more delays and please publish the contents of Vol 27 .
