wasnt WT711 sold??
are they moving to Cosford???
I think the ‘non blue’ one is a WOT1 fire tender…
difficult to tell from that if its red or green…
Neil, I don’t think you should’ve posted that.
oh dear..
I heard a rumour they’d been buying in loads of red (or maybe Green) paint for a scheme along these lines…

Slightly further afield, we’re off to Goa next week. Is the Naval Aviation Musuem at Bogmalai Beach near Dabolim worth a visit ?
it worth a wander around, probably an hour max.. hope you dont have to push your taxi part of the way like I did!! 😀
Neil
there was this parked in the Museum in Goa a couple of years ago..

the top one for SPerry Radar is really nice.. might have a go at a decent scan of it when i’m back at work..
Neil
old copies of Aeroplane are a good source, especially around Farnborough show time.. couple of examples (sorry for quality, dont have a scanner!)

Paul,
Guzzineil – interesting to see XR725 is still outside. Judging by the weather you went a bit later in the year than we did (March, I think was out last visit). .
it was the end of May when I took the photos..
Neil
a couple of mine from earlier this year.. and ref Manby, much of it is still there with the admin site now occupied as local Council offices..

the technical site is a bit of a state, theres a few of the buildings in use by the usual car repairers, double glazing firms etc and theres what appears to be a steam loco under restoration!
Guzzineil the whistle of them Darts is not nice if they’re just outside your office, whilst at the same you are coughing due to the the 111 starting up, blowing its efflux through the gaps in the window frames. The noise is so loud you can’t hear the Harvard in the circuit!!!
fortunately theres no windows in my building, but we had the door open! sounded quite good as it taxied past, must admit though I preferred the sound of the Dakota that preceeded it! 😀

Probably operating into Cranfield then?
its been up to sunny Lincolnshire today.. lovely to hear it whistle past!
