yep Happy Birthday… Isnt it traditional to buy your friends cakes on your b/day ??! 😀
well I’m just recovering from last nights ‘nightshift’ and getting ready for tonights.. well I think i am… this shift buisiness is very confusing!
its currently due to depart CBY 15:45… but as usual subject to weather etc etc etc.. its nightstopping away that night so you wouldnt get to see it come back..
is this art or just under exposed?!!
well I have to admit that despite having been interesting in aeroplanes for as long as I can remember I only got round to visiting OW in the last couple of years.. not sure why, mainly I suppose because as a boy/’yoof’ I was more interested in airliners and military stuff… I remember our school turning out to watch the first 747 on approach to LHR 😮
anyway one thing that obviously hasn’t changed about OW, reading the above, is the affection that the place manages to generate in people once they’ve been there… yep I’m now officially a fan !!

anyone know if theres plans to do anythign with this one at Brunty? ident?
love the idea of just slapping a ‘post-it’ note on the fuselage saying ‘this is mine’ or something similar!!! although i suppose it was before ‘post-its’ were invented! 😀

on the BBMF flying programme… Sssssh!! 😀
last programme I had showed 15.00 local… good luck!
Theres no mention of JU52s on that site strangely enough…
Neil 😀
Great show ‘spitfireart’, best tenner i’ve spent for ages… I didnt mind the visitors parked at the front as they were of the interesting variety – if they’d been at the back people would’ve moaned about having to ‘photoshop’ them out of the shot anyway!! the flying display was great, enjoyed a pint of Harveys (it was good to be back in Sussex!)… traffic was suprisingly easy at the times I arrived and left….only gripe was the vans parked along the fence at the front of the crowd line – presume disabled parking?? anyway not a real prob we just moved along till we found a viewing spot… one bit of feedback – I arrived around 9ish I think, and no one seemed to be taking money from the punters on the gate ! I’d bought an advance ticket but wasn’t checked…hopefully those without tickets were honest enough to cough-up!
look forward to next year – and yeah Coolham, why not! would have time for a pint in the Selsey Arms then! 😀
Neil.
thanks for the info..
