Looks weird. Terrorists could kidnap an airforce 😉
I only want one for my garden….well, first I need a garden. 🙁

Always makes me suspicious when I see a German grip cut off like one of those has, usually done to disguise a Mig top. Not sure about the other two though ! still Caveat Emptor !!!!
You are right, you can get carefully prepared MIG grips as Luftwaffe at the market. So before you buy one you have to take a closer look to the inside, looking for filled slits once cut for the MIG´s brake lever.
The factory producing KG 13 was situated at the eastern part of Germany, so they started making MIG grips after the war.

@BATTLE-RELICS
My advice: Keep your spade grip as a retirement pension insurance.

A nice, complete Luftwaffe KG13 you´ll get for about GBP 1000,-. When I also think about the last Spitfire undercarriage indicator for GBP 700,- I can tell you, collecting Luftwaffe stuff could be cheaper than the RAF.

Thanks Dave, you are right.
Before Dave “Battle” bought it, I had contact with the seller telling me that the original panel was once substituted by that one.
I´m curious how high the bids for the flap valve will go.
Cheers,
Herbert
The guys from http://www.cockpitinstrumente.de were so friendly to put my project to their page.

the chap in the ebay advert above is selling a kigass primer pump thingy, and says its suitable for hurricanes and spitfires.
Thanks bloodnok. The Kigass pump comes quite often and even maybe they´ve planned to put the pump to the panel, they didn´t. So do I.

Herbert
Wow, thanks Fluffy!
They are great for my studies.
I mean you had to put some postwar instruments but it´s very nice to see you kept the old watime layout!

I almost forgot:
Anyone having an undercarriage indicator switchbox 5C/1991 as spare?
I was lucky to get a Canadian one, a British would be an update, for sure 😀
Does anybody know, if any other aircraft used this kind of switch?
Thanks,
Herbert
Yes, aileron could be english or french or whatever.
In German it would be “Querruder”.
So a position indicator for a trimmable aileron?
Herbert
Hope that´s not your “90% of the fuselage” surrounded by the “all new wood work” 😉
Looks, like there is still some work to do. 😮
I decided to go for a replica of the boost cutout switch.
Does someone have some measurements for me? 😮
Or might be someone that good to produce a replica out of that drawing? I only have the measurements of the holes at the panel, so it could be compared with that. I also only need the parts to be seen at the front of the panel and it don´t has to move.
Thanks and regards,
Herbert
Thanks Laurent
I have these, the switch is original, the plate of the switch and the face of the U/C indicator are not. So at least a nice filler.
Corke sold simplified Hurricane replica panels like his Spitfire´s.
So he needed them to fill the holes.
By the way. The mysterious hole would suit a Kigass primer pump!
The distance from screwhole to screwhole would fit my drawing (3cm)
So maybe they really planned to mount the primer to the panel.

Herbert
I recently read the book “Die Faehrte des Jägers” by Adolf Dickfeld.
Oberst Dickfeld claims one victory with a “Salamander” over a Thunderbolt.
He reported, they were dangerous to fly and most of them were not servicable or went broken after the first landing.

Herbert
Ah, so you are Mr. Hampden. 🙂
Looking forward the pictures.
Kind regards,
Herbert
