If I can remember seeing those helos in 1982, I sincerely hope I’m old enough to drink beer…:D:diablo: In fact I was 11 at the time.

I might as well help with the advice. At http://WWW.WARBIRDAEROPRESS.COM
The son of LYLE SHELTON posts as “BellCobraIV”. He is a fountain of air race information esp. the RAREBEAR. There was also a book about the history of the RAREBEAR released.

Careful with that link. Every time I click on the photo gallery my anti virus kicks in.

27 minutes!!!! You lot are good! The guy whose photo’s they are says he knew nothing about the incident at all. Now for the pilots inside leg measurement……
1970’s, 1980’s they all meld into one when you get to my age. Besides if you say you remember the 70’s you weren’t there, right?:)

    [QUOTE=Stuntman Mike;1395785]Hi Folks

If someone here is registered at the “Warbirds Information Exchange Site”, I´d be very happy if that person could ask there for me. I don´t want to register in 1001 platforms to ask just one question. If you can help me: YOU DA MAN:cool:

I WOULD recomend you join WIX. Firstly they are the experts on all things obscure and American.
Secondly they would love to see your models.

P.S. I like the sound of you project, may we see the rest of the models when you have finished?

    PM on its way chris…:D

New plastic Spits, etc cost in the region of 25 grand, so what you need is a much bigger company to sponsor it….

If he is doing it “From the inside” surely he will be trading in “Snout”?:D
Or shall we try to smuggle one in in a bl***y big cake?

Seriously though Aklington was a Hunter base after the war, perhaps a Hunter would be cheaper?

P.S. Give my regards to the lads in D wing:D

The airport is only interested in making a profit. EVERYTHING come second. The minute they can get a shopping mall on that piece of ground, they will.People will vote with their feet, the gate takings will drop and they will close it due to lack of demand.
I’m going to self moderate now

I always though the B767 looked ugly.

Being licensed on the 767 saved my job! She ain’t ugly, she’s special!

There is one with winglets now.
The 757 was the first “Modern” aircraft I worked on, I thought it was like something off Star trek compared with the old British types I was trained on. Now I work on the A330 and 777, the insides of the poor old 757 look very old now. She is still the most elegent jet Billy Boeing built!

The are popping up every were. Today at MAN I saw a First choice and Jet2 757 with them on. I think they look nice, I don’t think that the extended wing tips on the 777-300ER’s look half as nice.
