Beyond that the main reason the majority of people immigrated here was to escape– religious wars– and –religious prosecution– in Europe.
The first protestant settlement in Florida was wiped out by the Spanish sent by the Roman Catholic church.

The Constitution was written so that no official governemtn faith could be saddled upon the citizens of the U.S. as it had been upon those of the British.

I do not know what they are teaching in grade and high schools these days but it is horridly lacking in simple facts and truths.

Without derailing this thread, superstitious myths & magic spells are hardly the stuff of facts & truth. You are free to practice your religion, but that doesn’t give you the right to expect others to follow it or for you to indoctrinate others.
People need to separate basic human rights from superstition.

Well, I think your wrong, judging by a lot of replies to this Post, just admit it, you’ve lost the plot.It’s your right as part of the militia to defend yourself against the Government, come the day, are you telling me that Americas army would shoot to kill an uprising militia?.The 2nd, was at the time it was ratified a good idea, but it’s totally out of hand, and I beleive that’s what some States want to square up, much against the will of the NRA.
I wonder what their stance would be, come the revolution should it ever happen?,

No it isn’t, the Constitution & the Bill of Rights appears nowhere in ANY religious documents. You guys need to put the superstition aside & concentrate on reality.
The fact you guys worship someone who you would be uncomfortable sitting next to on a plane is ridiculous.

This statement goes some way towards explaining it. The level of insidious religious/superstitious indoctrination on the US rivals that of the Middle East.
