Knew a guy who bought an H2 off a well known bodger. Couldn’t get it to run on all 3 cylinders. Finally popped the head off the offending cylinder & found evidence of a seizure & a tennis ball stock on the end of the conrod… 20 years later we still called him “tennis ball”

It was down to some mechanical numpty forgetting to use blue loctite on a rear caliper bracket bolt.

Luckily the mechanic in question doesn’t work on aircraft…

oh wait.. 🙂

anywho, quick temporary bodge got me home ok….

Yesterdays ride was uneventful…. except for seeing what appeared to be a HUGE bug hovering at head height right in front of me. I tilted my head to the right to avoid it & at the last moment realized it was actually a hummingbird. It does show up on the video, but if you blink you won’t see it.

Meanwhile, the Harlech P-38 quietly crumbles …

Two months before it flies again? So that’s a couple of days to actually fix the wing tip & 58 days filling out paperwork..
