About 22 years ago at Dx went through a deal with a German speaker regarding tool names… That’s how I learned what a schwartzluftschroubenseier was… & now I have one :p

I used to have a former USAF ’52 Chevy aircraft fueller. 500 gal tank, straight 6 OHV engine. Some guy offered me twice what I had in it & like an idiot I sold it… 🙁

However, I know where it is, so maybe one day I’ll buy it back…

So….. Theoretically…. there are 6 *airworthy* Lightnings?.. 3 in SA, 2 at Brunters & the Cranfield example.. any others?

I’ve no doubt the Lightnings at Brunters could take-off and even possibly go around and land safely, but at the end of the day it would still be illegal and who knows what sort of repercussions there would be.

What about the one at Cosford(?)
