I would rather see a real Me108 rather than something computer generated, because I have yet to see anything from a computer that convinces me.

Nice grouping,At what range did it punch through that 1/4 inch plate. You can understand why it became the snipers choice.

About 100yards, using iron sights. & with my eyesight I can’t focus on the front sight on the guns so it’s all (literally) a bit hit & miss.. Front sight falls into the *blurry* vision range πŸ™

    Here’s the triplets:

Rain stopped play & my neighbour is requesting help in building an Ark.. Kid has the day off school owing to it being a “Dead Guy Day” (Lincolns birthday possibly?) & is using Skype to videophone her grandparents in Pompey. Local mtns are expecting 2ft of snow.
Gives me a chance to sort out my ammo as I seem to be accumulating it at a rather impressive rate (0bama fever etc) πŸ™‚

I’ll ask about the spare engine, the hangars in that area are now gone so maybe the engine also went…

Any special tools needed to get the props off? we’re going to pull the QECs tomorrow & it would be easier without the fan on the front of em, might be a tad easier if we had a manual………. but we don’t, so we’re going to *wing it* πŸ˜‰
We have to get it apart enough to move by road…
Owing to the 8hr time difference I’ll be logging on here from the hangar Monday morning so thats about 2pm(ish) UK time.
My kid has the day off school so she will be enlisted as tool fetcher & photo taker. For an 11yo she’s remarkably good at it. When we were making the former TFC F7F oil tight she was taking about 80 pics a day..

I didn’t know there was a Sea Prince at Van Nuys – if so what is its origin? I am aware that Prince N206UP (once Decca’s G-ALWH) has been at VN for many years – is that actually the machine your friend has obtained? I saw it again at VN some years ago but as my pics of it are stored here’s a link to a good illustration
    http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitled/Percival%20P-50%20Prince%202/0978825/L/&width=1225&height=721&sok=WHERE__(reg_%3D_%27N206UP%27)_&sort=_order_by_photo_id_DESC_&photo_nr=1&prev_id=&next_id=NEXTID

I stand corrected,. no “Sea”.. just Prince then & it doesn’t look ANYTHING like it did in that pic…

Gone green with envy at that collection mate, is that mosin still hard to get into safety.I fired a few rounds through a 1944 mosin years ago.

No idea, I’ve never used the safety on any of the 4 I own (there’s another 91/30 not in that pic) πŸ™‚

    Here’s the vid from Sunday:

& here’s a piece of 1/4in steel plate I poked holes in with the Mosin, the multitude of light marks are from my kid & her .22 Savage

Does the mosin 44 still have its bayonet in place?

    Yup πŸ™‚

When you say “sporterized” do you mean modified if you’ve modded it how.
Great set of weapons you’ve got there.
    dave

I didn’t bubba the gun, some previous doofus did that. If you look at the row of rifles the 7th from right with the scope on it is the same gun as the blonde ’55 303 thats 3rd from right..
