Lived in Tremar back in the 70’s. Rumour has it that the father of a kid I went to school with in Torpoint had a Lightning on a stick. Guy by the name of Ernie Marshal in Downderry, bit of a property tycoon back in the day, he had a Countach in ’76…
On a related note:
There is a rather large abandoned complex just off Mulholland Hwy in Los Angeles that was some sort of pre WWII nazi farm/commune type place.
I saw a pic years ago of a P47 that had a neat hole on one of the prop blades from a 88 round that passed right thru it & exploded under the aircraft making a helluva mess. Also another with about 3ft of telephone pole embedded in the leading edge of the wing.
Doesn’t that conjure up the most wonderful images for the never yet produced movie

& then there is the contamination aspect from the BB’s being in direct contact with *stuff* while inside the sphere… I sure as hell wouldn’t be picking them up…
If ya pay attention during the film you’l notice that almost EVERY time John Wayne has a line it’s followed immediatley by the sound of an aircraft flying over.
It made oi laugh.. 🙂
