. How about a nice searchlight for the front garden?
Most of the large ones used down the road in Hollywood are of the WWII variety, just painted a different colour these days. Major running cost seems to be those effing great lightbulbs…
The guy that is sorting this out is called Larry, here’s his email addy:
cHRGER66@aol.com
Remember: It’s all in Los Angeles, Ca.
Does that guy have a website or something where he has the engines for sale?
No website, he’s just tidying up his deceased friends estate. There’s also a hellish ’66 500+hp Guildstrand Corvette… I know that car apparaised at $52K…..
I keep checking TFC website but this doesn’t seem to have been updated for a number of months.
Last update I’m aware of was last September… They do actually remember they HAVE a website don’t they?
ah ha! thanks, so it;s an OX-5….
& over double what I heard was paid for it….
Yup nothing has been sold yet. I know the guy who died paid $3500 for that Liberty engine, dunno about the other stuff altho there are receipts for some of them.
It’s all located in Los Angeles.
er,….. that IS a Liberty isn’t it?

The ram-jet?

Rather interesting “door stop” in that first pic….. 😉

ok, had a clean out at photobucket, heres some pics, I have NO idea what these are…

more to follow….
Here’s a link to the story with some video:
Unfortunate advert right next to the article…. 🙁
On a kinda related note:
The wreck of the Prinz Eugen on the beach at Kwad is still fully fitted out. Some divers now have rather splendid dinner services with the Prinz Eugen name & KreigsMarine logo etc on everything…
However, the wreck is officially off limits so the stuff is somewhat rare, I’ve only seen a few pieces…
Sounds good. So pray tell what is the capacity of your ferry tank?
It’s not mine, Keck had it refurbed when he had plans to take one of his A26’s to Hawaii but then his Insurance Co had a sense of humour failure & put the kybosh on that idea.
Not sure what capacity it is, but it completely fills the bomb bay…. I shall make enquiries..
Have you got the flight back to Oz planned, should make for an interesting trip.
I know where there’s as recently refurbed bomb bay aux gastank… & there’s a brand new R2800 cylinder sat in my garage looking for a home…
So if A26’s are the twin engine version of the Unlimited class…..
…The twin engine answer to the T6 class would be B25’s …..
:dev2: :dev2: :dev2: :dev2: :dev2: :dev2: :dev2:
So if I persuade Keck to take his 2 from Van Nuys & the former Bill Timmer one can come out to play they could have a “twins” class? :dev2:
