Van Nuys:
10x T6’s, 2x A3 SkyWarriors in front of the former Lockheed hangars, as is a Caravelle, a Prentice( :confused: ???) & an Albatross.. & Pete Regina’s Ford F250 parked outside Princess Elizabeth’s former hangar… Clay Lacy’s ramp looks more like a salvage yard, but his DC3 is parked in front of the 2x 727’s. Also a Beech 18 just behind the tower at the A&P school.

& you can see the hangar that Bogart stood outside of in Casablanca 🙂

Have a gander around this area… to the NE & also to the S, also the W & E etc….zoom out, you’l find stuff… There’s a F117 on a stick & at least 3 SR’s….. & a D21…

oh, & you can see my house LOL! Just had a look, you can clearly see the ’69 Mercury Monterey in the front yard, also my kids playhouse, the dog pen, my 1000sqft garage, my F350 Dually & 2 other cars in the driveway: a Corolla & the other I’m not sure about …

I was once a passenger in Nick Grey’s Lancia Integrale… that was an “interesting” experience & thats putting it mildly.. It’s not so much the hump back bridge that got my attention, it was hitting it at an angle because there was a bend just over it & ya had to land pointed in the right direction to make the corner or risk a ground loop into the adjacent field… 😮
Wasn’t so bad on the way back after lunch, I’d had a few pints of nerve stiffener…. 😀
I recall one of the other passengers being Mark Hanna who had a big grin on his face the entire time.

I’ve met 3 of the guys who went up there, I believe em.
The funniest was Gordo Cooper. I was on a stepladder at Santa Monica Airport working on CottonMouth when a short, somewhat roundish *geezer* wanders over & asks if he can take it for a spin.

I look down at him & ask what his qualifications are…. :confused:

He points at the Apollo patch on his flight jacket & says “Is this good enough?”… 😮 (yeah, I know he flew Mercury & Gemini)

I say “Help yerself Sir, the keys are in it” 😀 😉

I also have a copy of the video where some jackass reporter walks up to Buzz Aldrin & says “You are a coward, a liar & a th…” just as Aldrins fist connects with his jaw LMFAO!

There’s this strangely familiar shaped building San Diego….actually part of the Navy Seals establishment…. wonder who the architect was?

Apparantly I heard that more people die of bee stings and shark attacks every year than people dieing as a result of an air accident. I feel at lots safer when in the air. not sure why but theres a total calmness about it. NS

But what happens if the pilot gets stung by a Bee & crashes into shark infested waters? :dev2:
