Cryptic note: ‘ZRX61’ this is probably a bit too stressful for you so perhaps best to pass on this one.

Nothing is stressful for me since the bike wreck on June 12th, I’ve been popping Percocets like smarties 😎
Many years ago (early 90’s) there was a flight of 31 Huey’s headed South across Los Angeles, the guy leading the flight decided to fly over the VA Hospital on Sepulveda Blvd. Looked ptretty damn impressive from where I was at the time & the sound was something else.
It was later reported that it took 3 days to get everyone in the VA pysch wards back under control…. oops..
Wilton & Axminster was considered too flamable 🙂
if there are still airfields in the libyan desert with stuff out in the open, how about trying somthing like google earth to try and get some indication of what is out in the sand???
Ya just know the US Govt has every sq inch of that place mapped out by Satellite & SR71..
Saw a nice pic a few years back that was taken by an RAF Canberra over Tripoli just after the bombing raids. Theres the unmistakable shape of an SR71 BELOW the Canberra.. LOL!
The people that think that it’d be simple to restore this aircraft or that aircraft should come and have a look at this little lot being carried out.
Cheers
Andy
I seem to recall that RareBear’s hours worked out at something like 4000hrs maint to 1 hour in the air… Having worked on it for 2 seasons that would seem to be about right… but thats not exactly yer *average bear booboo..” 😀
I’m more intersted in WTF is holding up the roof supports in the middle of the doorway??
Surely they mean Blue & Yellow?
I always thought that Entente Cordiale went down well since we are all part of the EU and agree to disagree on everything, seemingly :p
Perhaps raising the Exocet debate from 1982 could repair relationships :diablo:
Maybe just moor HMS Conqueror next to it?
Any truth to the rumour that the RN is going to sink the FS Charles DeGalle for the finale? or is that just wishful thinking? :dev2:
A26… preferably the one formerly owned Bill Timmer. I was crew on that beast for a few years & it was fast even for a “10 seat Mustang”. We took it to Madera one year & took off while there were 7 Mustangs & 2 B25’s in the circuit…
Caught & passed one B25, then the other, then promptly went past a flight of 3 Mustangs like they were Stearmans & were closing in the other 4 when the tower suddenly spoiled our fun with a transmission of “HEY! Knock it off! This isn’t Reno!”
Had it parked at Van Nuys airshow one year & had placed a rather large clock inside one of the dummy 500 pounders hanging off the wing next top the 5in HVAR rockets. Was kinda fun watching as people used the wing as a sun shade & the expressions in their faces as they realised they could here something ticking directly above them..
Airport cops put a stop to that with “take the damn clock out of that bomb, we’re getting FAR too many reports for it to be funny any more”
Me? evil? yeah LOL!!
At least Bill’s A26 had engines from Aircraft Cylinder.. unlike 2 others I worked on that blew engines like they were going out of fashion…. (No, not *Sand Grenades*)
That would be “in a heap” 🙂
I repainted the inside of the trunk last year, it’s two steps from the back of the trunk to the edge….
Perfect limo for Legends….. 😎
& it has an 8 body trunk if ya need to move a lot of people 🙂
Mine are metal….
2 P51’s, a mini Vulcan & a P47….
then there are a few valves, big ones on either end are R3350 intake, middle 3 are R2800, (& the casing is .50cal), V8 is a Ford 427 Cammer.. er.. piston is Kawa 1100 :), Rod is Merlin, Plug is a Champion W14 & the aluminum tube with the white tape around it is another of those plugs… but still sealed in the original container since 19**??

& what appears to be a tribble living in the bottom of the Merlin rod….
Yeah I knew it was a bit of a stretch… but it is a *Galaxie*
Nike?
Which foot?
