When I knew him he was flying for TFC at Dx…So they may still have contact details.

I’m fairly sure Baggers is the chap in this vid at the 0.15 mark:

Good grief, they’ve got enough drip pans under that Spitfire to re-engine it with an R2800…:D

Just the cover for one of the actuators is new (& the decals), the rest is overhauled/repaired parts. We were sent what were thought to be 2 F82 actuators, but one wasn’t. The one that wasn’t, was converted using parts from P51 actuators.
The tricky bit is getting ether into the distats & getting it to stay there while they are soldered closed…

I have no criticism of the people who have actually worked on the aircraft as I feel sure that they have done all they can to get her in the air and keep her there with the available resources.

It must be as bad, or worse, for those pooor ******s who give their all & can’t get stuck in working on the aircraft because Pleming is such a prize prick at being realistic. Pleming will go down in history as the idiot who killed the Vulcan, not saved it.

Looks like a pretty good line- up. But I can’t help noticing that there is no A-26 Invader on the list. Are there none available, or isn’t it interesting?

I saw 3 of em this morning 🙂

This is under an EU program target at young people doing volunteering service in other countries of the EU.

Maybe Hendon & Dx need to look at this program…?

You are sounding sillier, and more hysterical, as the thread moves to its inevitable demise; if lions and the threat of crucifixion didn’t deflect early Christians from their faith, then your patently absurd reasoning (if that’s the right word) has no chance, whatsoever. Nearly 70 years ago, my mother advised me never to get into an argument about religion or politics, and your shrieking rants show that (as so often) “Mother was right.” And, no, I’m not going to tell you what my beliefs/disbeliefs might be, because it’s none of your business.

The great thing about the web etc is that it’s difficult to catch the mood of the poster & the context of posts. I’ll help dispel that confusion: I’m sat here laughing my ass off at the content of this thread. Merely throwing out any comment gets a result. I’ve posted directly contradictory statements & not one person reading them has caught them. 🙂

Christianity is the only religion based solely on faith. NOTHING else is necessary to except faith that what Jesus did and said is true.

There’s a major flaw with statement. Jesus didn’t author one word of the bible. The entire book is hearsay. What you think is faith in god etc is really faith that a bunch of uneducated desert dwelling people knew what they were talking about. It’s obvious to anyone who was taught how to think instead of what to think that none of the claims in the book hold up in any way at all.

Isn’t it a fact that nobody can tell for certain how the world began ?

No it isn’t, we know for certain how the world began. Planetary formation is well understood.

The religious have their idea, it suits them and they’ll stick to it.

    Indoctrinated ignorance.

    Why does it matter ?

For the same reason we no longer burn witches. Willfully ignorant is no way to go through life & is harmful to the continuing existence of the our species.

If God acts for you, it may be a case of one asking a doctor how it happened and the doctor saying, “I do not know, it goes against known biological science.””

So your answer to ‘I don’t know” is “It’s magic”? I have to ask: Have you ever been assessed for psychiatric treatment or medications?

As I said, God allows as God decides proper, God ignores as God decides proper and God actually reaches out and touches some one/thing as God decides is proper.

So you are quite happy that this psychopathic monster that you follow stands idly by while children are raped? That makes you nothing less than a sociopath.

I asked earlier what other religious books you had read: koran? book of mormon? others? There are about 2 million muslims out there who claim you will burn in hell for following the wrong psychopath.
Are you familiar with pascals wager?

Although I now regard myself as a religious agnostic, I was educated at faith schools and brought up in a religious household. I believe that this background gave me three values; a conscience and an awareness of others needs before my own and a clear sense of the distinction between right and wrong.

That is what my religious upbringing did for me.

That’s what having empathy did for you, religion wasn’t required.
