It would, but epoxy is far superior. You’d be able to paint right over the epoxy, regular filler would require some sort of sealer & more faffing about.

Use some form of epoxy as filler, Araldite or JBWeld spring to mind.

This guy summed it up quite well:

“religion gives people the willingness to help others in need” “atheists lives are just boring and wasteful” “how can you experience joy without religion” etc…

I can not tell you how sick to death I am of hearing this bull**** over and over again. To say that life has no meaning without religion is just asinine. I give my own life meaning. I don’t need approval or love of some unsubstantiated claim in order to feel joy in my life. And I don’t need some supposed guilt trip as my only reason for helping my fellow man. I do it because it’s the right thing to do. It’s really ridiculous to think that just because atheists reject the unsubstantiated claims of religions, we don’t believe in anything or have anything to live or fight for. I think this is also you saying you are essentially nothing without your religious beliefs – and THAT is really sad.

The actual answers to the world are so much more amazing and beautiful that trying to credit any type of supernatural being for it, is completely dishonest and takes away so much. Since we know that life is fleeting and this is the only one that we can truly be sure that we have, we should strive to experience all the meaning we can within the short time available. I do not, and will not give any of that over to a fairy tale.

If there really was an omniscient, omnibenevolent “god” then my belief in it not should not be a requirement, if I live my life helping others and trying to better the world around me. The very action of requiring worship and belief without question is immoral. And any being that asks for that in order for you to be viewed in its eyes as “righteous” is not worthy of it. Religion is not a stepping stone to something better. It’s a crutch. A hindrance. The greatest tool ever created to justify bigotry and ignorance in a society. A self-righteous tower, to provide people justification to look down on your fellow humans.

Stop putting yourself higher then your fellow man just because you believe in unproven myth. That is not something to be proud of, or to put reverence in. I don’t believe in any god for the same reasons you do not believe in Odin, Zeus, Buddha, Apollo, or the thousands of others that have been credited to exist. Plain and simple, I know of no verifiable evidence for any god’s existence. If you have evidence, please show me. I promise you that I will be much more open to it than you to the lack of evidence for your god. Otherwise, stop assuming less of people and grow up. -(SC)

Just think how many more versions must have been used at various time over the millennia by all the various branches and sects.

One local religious store has over 400 versions.

Just a question for you lot to ponder, WHO wrote the Bible?,and why?, and were some of the things written about all lies?.
Where there is smoke, there is fire, usually.

    Jim.
    Lincoln .7

People claim to have faith in god, but what they actually have is faith that 2000 years ago a bunch of Palestinians knew more about how the universe worked than we do & generally knew WTF they were talking about…. They didn’t.

We have this incredibly stupid book that starts out with two completely contradictory versions of creation, but the bottom line is that it boils down to this:
Modern genetics disprove the creation myth, without the creation myth there is no Adam & Eve, without Adam & Eve there is no original sin & without the original sin there is no need for a savior. At that point the entire christian myth collapses.
    It REALLY is that simple.

This reminds me a bit of discussing why God does not obliterate Satan.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, so Satan cannot be simply made to not exist.

You can’t destroy something that never existed in the first place…

I sometimes look in the mirror and think,”Do I represent the most intelligent life in the Universe?”

.. or even on this forum.. 😉

Sorry, couldn’t let that go 😉
