You can never have enough Jags 🙂

If not on here then the Britmodeller website has a walkround section, these sort of pics are invaluable for modellers

    Hi Walter

We’ve been fortunate in being able to acquire a copy of the Parts Catalogue for the Stirling. I’ll have a look through it in the next few days. To be honest, It’s not a part number sequence I’ve seen on the aircraft but, I’ll have a look to see what I can find

    regards

Chances are, the chain in question is made by Renolds (which you can still get), it’s certainly the case with our Stirling controls. Hopefully some kind soul will be along with the relevant part number

    Hi James

The mod leaflet provisioning list and instructions calls for new lamps (with Shorts Pt No) and electrical AGS, there is no requirement to remove or relocate existing lamps so it would seem that at some point the lights were removed or not fitted from build. At least for a Mk IV

    Hi James

The Rationale for the mod as stated in the leaflet is:

This modification makes provision to re-introduce cockpit lamps, Type B, with red bulbs

the leaflet is dated 16 Oct 45

    Thanks James

The later mod was from AP1660D/E so much later and specifically states that it re-instates the lamps in the former position. the use of 5C/366 is intriguing as it’s a much larger assembly, needless to say we have plenty of those 🙂

Ouch, an expensive mistake. Thanks Richard for the further info.

I’d not seen this photo before but it’s obviously been around for a while

Yes the museums in question are Hendon and Cosford but I also thought Duxford was an RAF Museum to include in this but I’ve just remembered that it is actually IWM.

So the original question has been opened up slightly to include aircraft at the IWM Duxford too!

Well there is a Jag in Duxford (XX108) but this was always a trials aircraft not an operational one

If I’m correct in my understanding of the OPs that Hendon and Cosford are the museums in question; then Jaguar 🙂

I don’t count the ACT one at Cosford
