Hi James
Can’t recall if you came to a conclusion re the Stirling Pilot seat
John
Had the same too but it seems ok today
:applause:
Hi Vacb
PM sent 🙂
John
Found a modification drawing that shows this area in more detail albeit to a later mod state than that shown in the photo. The lamps are indeed a Type B 5C/793 but with a type specific shade.
cheers
John
Hi Michael
Would definitely be interested in two off 🙂
Jeepman – If you look closely the outside is masked with what looks like paper, IIRC this a Shorts original factory photo
David – I’m with Credible Sport…I’m lost
John
When something on the aircraft type beginning with S is posted here you can expect very soon to read negative posts about it. Which I find a very negative turn of events and downgrades this forum. Perhaps more people should post more about other types, which is absolutely welcome. I don’t care which type is posted on, I like em all (except Vulcans).:D
Cees
Has anyone had negative posts about Stirlings Cees? Just teasing 🙂
But at least the recent issue did cover our efforts with the S(tirling)
John
A busy year Al. well done to you all. Wish I lived a bit closer and SWMBO might get a bit peeved if I devoted time to the Jag as well as the Stirling
Here’s to a productive 2017
John
Hi Mathieu
The Braking system is indeed pneumatic and the components seem to be mostly from Dunlop :). Will keep an eye on those wheels but our priority is really the forward fuselage
regards
John
Blimey, they’re expensive. Whilst we could use them, it’s not exactly a priority at that price
Thanks for pointing them out though Sonderman 🙂
John
Works ok for me 🙂
John
Some actual photos to view 🙂

Thanks David
Until these issues are sorted here’s a link to our website showing the mounting of the main instrument panel to the flightdeck dolly, this now shows the panel in context

Also, thanks to Fenland Aircraft Museum for the loan of a damaged engine starter panel label, the text of this has eluded us and thanks to a fortuitous discovery we now know exactly what it should say. This is fitted prominently on the top of the throttle box and we wanted to get it just right. Also thanks to Screens and Graphics of Cottenham, Cambs for reproducing the label FOC. Merry Xmas
John
thanks Cees
I have an update to do to this thread but the Forum issues are preventing me at the moment 🙁
John
Apologies Cees
My bad in this instance 🙁
