No probs, I ahem bought some of those in error; the shank is too small…doh!
Thanks Tony, that has UNF threads unfortunately
John
Hi Tony
That’s a pity, but thanks for looking for us:D
John
Thanks Alan
Thinking about it I remember seeing that in a Brown Bros catalogue, so it looks like the request should be for an AGS591 rod end then, type immaterial although preferable a ‘S’ or ‘CS’
cheers
John
Thanks Michale
I had seen that but unfortunately it has UNF threads (denoted by the 3 circles on the eye end)
regards
John
Agreed, doesn’t look Stirling to me
John
just got back from the memorial dedication and I’d like to thank the Bealby’s for Inviting us to the event which well organised and very moving and it was nice to be able to talk to the relatives of the crew of EF127, many of whom had travelled from Australia and the North of England. I’m sure that TO will be along shortly with some photos to illustrate what went on
regards
John
See you there Howard
Hi all
We’re on the scrounge (again) for a rod end bearing as per the attached photo which is of the Landing lamp lever actuating rod. one of the bearings is completely shot (broken off on impact) and the other is badly damed but just about workable. If anyone has one or possibly two 5/16″ BSF RH thread rod ends with a 2BA bearing bore we’d be very grateful.
TIA John
From a Rigger perspective, I found most jobs easy to accomplish, other than removing a tailplane C lever bolt and removing the taper cones from the bottom of the control column bellcrank. The former was a pain to get the split pin out the latter was just a pain:o
One of my colleagues has suggested that it might not be for a gauge but instead is a plate showing the angular displacement of a mechanical component. He mentioned that he’d seen something similar on Constant Speed Units.
Perhaps we could have a separate thread pertaining to owners and their rights to paint aircraft in whatever colour they choose, so that this one can be left for any news relating to said Jag XX832:sleeping:
And a hearty congratulations to you DC, thoroughly deserved:applause:
It’s more the case that we’d simply not be permitted to return a Jaguar to flight in this country, the CAA would not allow it.
